Tyreek Hill Next Team Odds: Why No Team Is the Favorite
By Jake Hari
August 10, 2026

Tyreek Hill has been a free agent since February, and Kalshi runs a 32-outcome market on where he lands: every NFL team, plus a bucket that pays if he re-signs with Miami, retires, or simply never produces a new team before December 31. For a fantasy manager, this board is a free, real-money scouting feed on one of the most famous names still on draft boards. We handed it to a seven-model AI panel, price-blind, with a verified ledger of his release, his injury timeline in his own words, his agent's stated criteria, and the one destination with hard supporting facts. Then every seat read the others' anonymized reasoning and revised. The market and the panel agree on the shape of the answer. They disagree by 23 points on how strong it is.
The Quick Answer
The market's favorite is the no-new-team bucket at 38.5¢, with Kansas City the top landing spot at 17.5¢. The panel, after its revision round, puts the bucket at 61.3%: every seat priced it between 54.7 and 64.5, because the ledger describes a sequencing problem, not a bidding war. Clearance has to come before a signing, the signing has to beat a December 31 deadline, and as of Hill's own August 5 rehab update, step one has not happened. Kansas City at 11.6% is the panel's only signing scenario with verified facts behind it. The full board, the fantasy translation, and the one trigger that reprices everything are below.

The Market
Each team contract resolves YES if Hill's next team is that team before December 31, 2026, and the event closes early when it happens; the bucket contract covers "Stays with Miami or Retires." One settlement nuance worth knowing before trading either side: the bucket's literal language plus the December 31 expiration means the natural no-new-team path (unsigned into January) is what the bucket is designed to capture, but an unsigned, unretired December 31 is a quieter settlement event than a signing, and thin next-team books already leave room for doubt: the 32 midpoints sum to about 90 cents, an under-round, meaning the books are thin enough that nobody is even selling the full probability.
Two timestamps for the record: panel verdicts were generated the evening of August 9, 2026, price-blind; prices were fetched at 21:18 UTC the same evening.
The Verified Ledger
Every load-bearing fact the panel saw, dated and sourced. Miami released Hill on February 16, 2026, before an $11 million portion of his contract locked in for the season, part of a set of cuts clearing over $56 million in cap space. The injury behind that decision: on September 29, 2025, Hill dislocated his left knee and tore multiple ligaments including his ACL, ending his season at 21 catches for 265 yards; he has since had two surgeries. In July he said he had "no power in my left leg," and in a rehab video posted around August 5 he described being "about 10 months after doing two surgeries." His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, says Hill will wait for medical clearance and wants a contender. Reporting through early August finds no team has come close to signing him. And the one destination with concrete supporting facts: Kansas City, where Hill won a Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes, re-hired Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator in January, the same coordinator from Hill's KC years.
"I read this as a medical-timeline question wearing a destination-market costume." (Claude Opus)
Where The Machines Split From The Money
No New Team: Market 38.5¢, AI Blend 61.3%
The board's whole story. The panel's case is sequencing: a signing requires clearance, then a willing team, then a completed deal, all before December 31, and the newest evidence says the first step has not happened five weeks before the season.
"The ledger's four hard facts — 10 months post-double-surgery on a dislocated knee/torn ACL, a July 'no power in my left leg' admission, an agent gating any signing on medical clearance, and zero reported suitors all summer — describe a player who isn't sellable yet, with the season opening in weeks. That's a timing problem as much as a talent one." (Claude Sonnet)
Kansas City: Market 17.5¢, AI Blend 11.6%
Both sides agree it is the top landing spot; the panel just pays less for it. The KC case is the only one built on verified facts rather than archetype: the Mahomes Super Bowl history, the Bieniemy re-hire, and the agent's contender criterion all point the same way. What caps it near 12 is that even the best signing story still sits behind the clearance gate.
Las Vegas: Market 5.5¢, AI Blend 0.85%
The board's trap row. The market pays Las Vegas six times the panel's number and prices it as the second-likeliest team, and no seat could find a verified fact supporting it; the panel's read is that speculation traffic, not evidence, is holding that price up.
Chicago and New England: Markets 2.5¢ Each, AI Blends 0.43% and 0.56%
Same shape as Las Vegas, smaller stakes: prices that imply real probability on destinations the ledger never mentions, while verified-adjacent contenders like Baltimore and Buffalo trade at 2 cents or less with higher panel numbers.
Where The Panel Changed Its Mind
The revision round compressed a 47.5-to-77 spread on the bucket into 54.7-to-64.5, with both extremes moving toward the middle for stated reasons. The high seat, Claude Opus, came down from 77 to 63.5 while simultaneously tripling its Kansas City number from 4.4 to 11.4, conceding the reunion scenario deserved verified-fact weight. The low seat moved up seven points:
"Five of six peers weighted the CALENDAR harder than I did, and they are right on the mechanism. For a team contract to settle, three things must happen in sequence before December 31." (Claude Fable, revising the bucket from 47.5 to 55)
One seat graded both extremes at once:
"F's 77 overweights the direst reading (a midseason clearance plus a cheap contender flier is a live path), while B's 47.5 underweights how narrow the clearance-to-signing window is." (Kimi K3)
What A Fantasy Manager Does With This Board
This is the section the odds pages skip. Three translations, each keyed to a number above:
- Redraft: the panel's 61% is a fade signal. A player with a three-in-five chance of never suiting up in 2026, whose best signing scenario is a late-season rental, is a last-round flier at most. If you draft him, you are drafting the 39%, and mostly the 11.6% of it that wears red.
- Dynasty: the board is a free repricing feed. You cannot watch every rehab video, but the market watches everything. A team contract jumping from half a cent to 3 cents is clearance news moving money before it moves waiver wires; checking this board weekly is cheaper than any news alert.
- Waivers: pre-decide the trigger. The panel named one event that reprices everything: a medical clearance announcement. The moment it happens, the bucket deflates, the Kansas City contract becomes the market's live fantasy forecast, and the waiver decision you pre-made in September beats the one your league makes in the hour after the signing.
Dark Horses The Panel Won't Dismiss
- Baltimore (2¢, blend 2.6%): the panel's top non-KC team, "the November-rental shape if clearance comes late." (Claude Fable)
- Buffalo (1.5¢, blend 2.5%): a contender archetype fitting the agent's stated criterion; five of seven seats put it at 2.5% or higher.
- Los Angeles Rams (1.5¢, blend 1.5%): "a contender archetype with established quarterback play that fits Rosenhaus's stated criterion and has a history of midseason veteran adds." (Claude Opus)

What Would Change The Panel's Mind
- A medical clearance announcement. The single trigger every seat named. It flips the bucket's sequencing logic overnight and makes every contender contract live at once.
- A workout or visit report. The ledger's "no team has come close" line is the bucket's second pillar; one verified team visit removes it.
- Hill's own updates. His August 5 video is the newest datum on the board; the next one either extends the timeline or shortens it.
- The December calendar itself. Every week without news is evidence for the bucket; by Thanksgiving, an unsigned Hill makes the 61% look conservative.
Settlement Timeline
- September 2026 — the NFL season opens with Hill unsigned; every roster that breaks camp without him raises the bar for a signing.
- October-November 2026 — the realistic clearance-and-rental window the panel's signing scenarios live in.
- December 31, 2026 — the market's deadline; the event closes early the moment a next team happens.

How To Read These Prices
- Eligibility. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated event-contract exchange, not a sportsbook. 18+, availability varies by state as of August 2026.
- The board sums to about 90 cents. On thin books, that under-round means quotes are opinions, not depth; most team contracts have matched only a few thousand contracts.
- The bucket is three outcomes in one. Re-signing with Miami, retiring, and running out the clock all pay the same contract; the panel's 61% is the sum of those paths, not a retirement prediction.
- **Not advice.
The Bottom Line
The market and the panel agree on every qualitative call: no new team is the favorite, Kansas City is the likeliest jersey, and everything else is noise until a doctor says otherwise. The disagreement is arithmetic. The market sells the no-team bucket at 38.5 cents in a market whose own prices sum to 90, and the panel, reading a ledger where the player himself says the leg is not back, prices the same outcome at 61. For a fantasy manager the actionable part is not the verdict; it is the trigger. Clearance news moves this board before it moves your league, and the scoreboard will grade whose number was right by New Year's.
