Fantasy WR Rankings 2026: The Market Just Moved To The AI Panel's Numbers
By Jake Hari
July 28, 2026 · Updated September 5, 2026
The Quick Answer
The market's fantasy WR rankings for 2026 have collapsed toward the AI panel's numbers since this verdict was published. On July 28 Kalshi made it a two-man race, Ja'Marr Chase at 36¢ and Puka Nacua at 33¢, a combined 69 cents; on September 5 the last trades are 15¢ and 12¢, a combined 27 cents, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba's last trade is 19¢ against the 5¢ he opened at. The panel's revised blend gave the Chase-Nacua pair 25% in July and made an unlisted receiver its single most likely outcome at 14%. The board below carries both dates; the panel numbers are the July 28 originals, frozen.
The Market
Kalshi's Top Fantasy WR market (event KXRANKLISTFFWR-27) settles on the number-one wide receiver on ESPN Fantasy Football PPR scoring for the 2026-27 regular season. Regular season only, listed close February 1, 2027. This is the detail that decides the board: only the 20 listed receivers can settle Yes. If anyone else finishes WR1, every market on this board settles No.
Three timestamps: panel verdicts generated the morning of July 28, 2026, price-blind; July prices fetched from exchange candlesticks the same morning; the September 5 column is the last trade on the live board that morning.
What The Fetched Record Says
The card's 2025 ledger: Puka Nacua won the crown at 375.0 PPR points, with the top 25 fetched in full. The roster block mattered twice over (and it is current: the fetched rosters also confirm 2026 moves like A.J. Brown to New England and Jaylen Waddle to Denver). Davante Adams, 9th in 2025 PPR, is now a Ram competing with Nacua for targets, and he is NOT on the candidate list. Neither are Jameson Williams (12th), Courtland Sutton (13th), Stefon Diggs (17th), nor five other top-25 finishers. Nine of 2025's top 25 receivers cannot settle this market Yes.
How The Panel Read It
No listed receiver cleared 13% in the revised blend, and the seats split three ways: Nacua backers, Chase backers, and the field.
"Ja'Marr Chase is my #1 at roughly 12%, and the honest headline is that no one deserves much more than that; WR1 overall is a shallow-favorite market where the top preseason name converts only about one year in six." (Claude Opus)
"Puka Nacua tops the field: he led all WRs in 2025 PPR points (375.0) despite missing a game... His only real risk is durability, which is why he's set near 12% rather than a runaway favorite." (Claude Sonnet)
And one seat went full contrarian on a bounce-back:
"Justin Jefferson is my top choice to finish WR1, driven by a massive projected bounce-back in Kevin O'Connell's scheme... His precipitous drop to 21st in 2025 despite playing a full slate" reads as scheme noise, not decline. (DeepSeek V4)
The Revision Round
Each model read the other seven's anonymized reasoning and could revise. Cross-model spread fell from 1.11 to 0.83 points, and the round produced the series' first fetched-card correction of a model's own memory:
"Forecaster G's per-game framing exposed a factual error in my round-1 reasoning: I credited Chase with the sample's best per-game ceiling when the card plainly gives that to Nacua, and by a wide margin." (Claude Opus)
The field thesis also hardened into the panel's consensus:
"The concrete observation that eight 2025 top-25 finishers, including Adams at a 15.9 ppg pace and ascending Jameson Williams/Egbuka, sit outside the list convinced me my 9% FIELD underpriced realistic non-list winners." (Kimi K3) [Editor's note: the fetched count is nine excluded top-25 finishers, not eight.]
"My initial FIELD bucket of 6% was far too low given that Davante Adams (9th in 2025), Jameson Williams (12th), and several other top-25 finishers are not eligible to settle." (GLM 5.2)
One seat (Claude Sonnet) did not return a revision and is excluded from the round-2 blend.
Where The Machines Split From The Money
The field: no market, AI blend 14%. The panel's single most likely outcome. There is no way to buy that outcome on this board, which is context for how the panel reads every listed price.
Ja'Marr Chase: market 36¢ on July 28 (15¢ last trade Sept 5), AI blend 12%. The market's favorite at nearly three times the panel's number. Nobody on the panel doubts the talent; every seat doubts any receiver deserves 36¢ in a market this volatile.
Puka Nacua: market 33¢ on July 28 (12¢ last trade Sept 5), AI blend 13%. Same story, softened by the reigning crown. The Adams target-competition point from the fetched roster block moved multiple seats down on him.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: market 5¢, AI blend 10%. The board's largest upward divergence from the market, fourth on the blend, and a top-tier riser in the revision round.
Dark Horses The Panel Won't Dismiss
- Justin Jefferson (9¢, blend 7%): DeepSeek's outright top pick; the bounce-back case survived the revision round intact.
- Nico Collins (5¢, blend 4%): quietly ahead of bigger names on several seats' per-game efficiency reasoning.
- Drake London (7¢, blend 4%): target-volume argument in an ascending offense kept him above his price on most seats.

What Moved Since July 28
Every price in the September 5 column is the last trade on Kalshi's Top Fantasy WR board, pulled the morning of September 5, 2026. The book is thin now: bids and asks sit far apart (Chase 12¢ bid, 16¢ ask; Nacua 11¢ bid, 37¢ ask), so read the last trade as the market's most recent opinion, not a price you can get filled at. The biggest moves: Puka Nacua 33¢ → 12¢, Ja'Marr Chase 36¢ → 15¢, Jaxon Smith-Njigba 5¢ → 19¢, Amon-Ra St. Brown 23¢ → 12¢, Chris Olave — → 8¢, DeVonta Smith 10¢ → 2¢. The two July favorites gave back most of their premium, which is the direction every seat on the panel argued in July, and Smith-Njigba, the panel's 10% name against a 5¢ price, is the one receiver the market has re-rated upward. The panel numbers are not re-run; the July 28 verdict stands as written so it can be graded in February against the ESPN PPR finish.

The Shape Of The Distribution
This is what an honest read of receiver volatility looks like: a market whose favorite converts about one season in six, a candidate list missing eight of last year's top 25, and a panel that answers both facts by making "someone else" its top outcome. The board joins the fantasy series next to the RB1 verdict and the QB1 verdict, with TE next, and every number gets graded against ESPN's final 2026 ranks on the public scoreboard.
