FanDuel PGA DFS Cheat Sheet: BMW Championship Picks
By Sam Smith
August 19, 2026

Stokastic's free FanDuel PGA DFS cheat sheet hits the BMW Championship with one loud answer and one quiet one. Scottie Scheffler leads four of the six panels: $15,600 salary, 80.7 projected points, 43.3% ownership, 39.3% top-150 exposure. The quiet answer: Chris Gotterup, outside the top five for salary, projection and ownership yet first in leverage. I'll walk both into one $60,000 build below.
The Quick Answer
Play Scheffler and Gotterup, funded by the value panel's Matthew McCarty, Sepp Straka, Eric Cole and Nicolas Echavarria; fade Xander Schauffele and Tommy Fleetwood, 30.5% and 20.5% owned yet off the value, exposure and leverage panels. The board and cap math are below.
This Week's Board

| Panel | Top Five |
|---|---|
| Highest Salaries | Scheffler $15,600, McIlroy $12,100, Burns $11,900, Aberg $11,800, Fleetwood $11,600 |
| Top Projections | Scheffler 80.7, McIlroy 71.8, Schauffele 71.0, Burns 70.6, Aberg 70.1 |
| Ownership | Scheffler 43.3%, Schauffele 30.5%, McIlroy 27.6%, Burns 24.4%, Fleetwood 20.5% |
| Top Values | McCarty 9.12, Straka 9.04, Cole 9.02, Echavarria 8.93, Fox 8.91 |
| Exposures | Scheffler 39.3%, Gotterup 34.7%, McIlroy 28.7%, Gerard 25.3%, Young 24.7% |
| Leverage Plays | Gotterup 14.3%, Gerard 8.9%, Young 5.5%, Højgaard 5.0%, Brennan 4.7% |
The Stokastic Sims play the tournament tens of thousands of times because 72 holes is long-tail: the same golfer wins one sim and finishes 40th in the next, so a median alone hides the shape. Ownership is modeled as a distribution; the exposure panel counts appearances in the 150 highest sim-ROI lineups. Schauffele and Fleetwood, second and fifth in ownership, miss the value, exposure and leverage panels. At Bellerive, a long par-70 ball-striker's test with the top-30 Tour Championship cutoff looming, that name-driven ownership is my target.
Worked Example: From Board To Build
Scheffler's $15,600 leaves $44,400 for five slots, an $8,880 average. Gotterup makes that livable: at or below the salary panel's $11,600 cutoff, second in top-150 exposure at 34.7%, first in leverage at 14.3%. No cut here means FanDuel's finish-heavy scoring pays all week; a low-owned pivot cannot cost you a weekend. I fund the last four from the value panel: McCarty (9.12), Straka (9.04), Cole (9.02) and Echavarria (8.93), the board's best points per dollar. Construction shapes live in the PGA DFS strategy guide, entry sizing in the tournament strategy guide, full lines in the GOLF DFS projections, ownership and stacks in the DataHub.
