FanDuel PGA DFS Cheat Sheet: Tour Championship Picks
By Sam Smith
August 26, 2026

The Tour Championship is the weirdest slate of the golf season: 30 golfers at East Lake, no cut, everyone starting even, the FedExCup decided Sunday. Stokastic's free FanDuel PGA DFS cheat sheet reads it with one loud call. Rory McIlroy sits in 54.7% of the 150 highest sim-ROI lineups and leads the leverage panel at 33.5%, yet he doesn't crack the top five in projected ownership. The field is buying names; the Sims are buying Rory. I'll turn that gap into a full $60,000 build below.
The Quick Answer
Play McIlroy and Xander Schauffele, the top two in both top-150 exposure and leverage, and fund them from the value panel: Akshay Bhatia (12.45), Ryan Fox (11.50), Gary Woodland (11.43) and Kristoffer Reitan (10.69). Fade Collin Morikawa (31.0% owned) and Chris Gotterup (26.4%), popular names that miss the value, exposure and leverage panels entirely. The full board and the cap math are below.
This Week's Board

| Panel | Top Five |
|---|---|
| Highest Salaries | Scheffler $14,800, McIlroy $13,400, Aberg $12,200, Burns $12,000, Schauffele $11,800 |
| Top Projections | Scheffler 97.3, McIlroy 91.8, Schauffele 89.1, Burns 87.7, Aberg 86.1 |
| Ownership | Scheffler 33.6%, Woodland 32.3%, Morikawa 31.0%, Gotterup 26.4%, Burns 26.3% |
| Top Values | Bhatia 12.45, Fox 11.50, Woodland 11.43, Alex Fitzpatrick 11.10, Reitan 10.69 |
| Exposures | McIlroy 54.7%, Schauffele 45.3%, Scheffler 44.7%, Woodland 38.7%, Scott 29.3% |
| Leverage Plays | McIlroy 33.5%, Schauffele 19.6%, Smalley 14.4%, Scheffler 10.4%, Reitan 9.2% |
The Stokastic Sims play the tournament tens of thousands of times because 72 holes is a long-tail event: the same golfer wins one sim and finishes 25th in the next, and a lone median hides that shape. Ownership is modeled as a distribution too, and the exposure panel counts appearances in the 150 highest sim-ROI lineups. That's why Woodland is the one piece of chalk I'm happy to eat: 32.3% owned, but also third in value and fourth in exposure. Morikawa and Gotterup carry similar ownership with zero sim support, and on a no-cut slate where FanDuel's finish-heavy scoring pays all four rounds, that's exactly the ownership I want to be under.
Worked Example: From Board To Build
McIlroy's $13,400 leaves $46,600 for five slots. I add Schauffele at $11,800, second in leverage at 19.6%, and my last four spots share $34,800, an $8,700 average the value panel is built to fill: Bhatia, Fox, Woodland and Reitan, who doubles as a leverage play at 9.2%. That's the six. Alex Fitzpatrick (11.10 value) is my swap when a build runs tight. With just 30 salaries on the slate, the middle compresses, so construction ideas live in the PGA DFS strategy guide, entry sizing in the tournament strategy guide, roster shapes in how to build PGA DFS lineups, and full lines in the GOLF DFS projections, ownership and stacks in the DataHub.
