DraftKings PGA DFS Cheat Sheet: Tour Championship Picks
By Sam Smith
August 26, 2026

Thirty golfers, no cut, and the FedExCup gets decided Sunday at East Lake. As we put it on our Tour Championship live show, with 30 men "you have to consider everyone," so ownership becomes the week's real currency. This week's free DraftKings PGA DFS cheat sheet spends it on one loud call: Scottie Scheffler, the most expensive golfer on the slate at $14,000, leads the projection, top-150 exposure and leverage panels all at once. When the priciest name is also the contrarian one, the build writes itself, and I'll finish it under the $50,000 cap below.
The Quick Answer
Pay up for Scheffler: 104.5 projected DraftKings points, 43.3% top-150 exposure, 19.4% leverage, and no spot in the projected-ownership top five. Pair him with Gary Woodland, the only golfer to hit the value, exposure and leverage panels at once (12.52 value, 33.3% exposure, 18.1% leverage). Fade Viktor Hovland (30.5% owned), Cameron Young (30.0%) and Collin Morikawa (29.7%), popular names that miss every other panel. The full board and the cap math are below.
This Week's Board

| Panel | Top Five |
|---|---|
| Highest Salaries | Scheffler $14,000, McIlroy $11,000, Schauffele $10,000, Aberg $9,700, Wyndham Clark $9,400 |
| Top Projections | Scheffler 104.5, McIlroy 96.6, Schauffele 93.2, Burns 91.7, Aberg 90.1 |
| Ownership | McIlroy 32.6%, Hovland 30.5%, Young 30.0%, Morikawa 29.7%, Schauffele 29.1% |
| Top Values | Bhatia 12.80, Scott 12.77, Smalley 12.64, Fox 12.62, Woodland 12.52 |
| Exposures | Scheffler 43.3%, Gotterup 35.3%, Si Woo Kim 34.7%, McIlroy 34.0%, Woodland 33.3% |
| Leverage Plays | Scheffler 19.4%, Woodland 18.1%, Min Woo Lee 11.4%, Bhatia 10.0%, Si Woo Kim 8.5% |
The row that matters: Rory McIlroy leads ownership at 32.6% while Scheffler, projecting 7.9 points clear of him, misses the ownership top five entirely. The Stokastic Sims see that gap because they play the tournament tens of thousands of times instead of ranking one static number; 72 holes is a long-tail event, and with no cut the blow-up tail shrinks while the winner tail stays wide, which favors the highest ceiling on the board. Ownership Projections are modeled as a distribution too, and the exposure panel counts appearances in the 150 highest sim-ROI lineups (the full walkthrough lives in how to use the Stokastic PGA Sims). Every layer lands on the same name.
Worked Example: The $14,000 Question
Scheffler leaves $36,000 for five slots, $7,200 a man, and the value panel is where I fill them: Akshay Bhatia (12.80 projected points per $1K), Adam Scott (12.77), Alex Smalley (12.64), Ryan Fox (12.62) and Woodland (12.52). Woodland is the first add because of his 18.1% leverage, Bhatia the second for the same reason (10.0%), and Si Woo Kim (34.7% exposure, 8.5% leverage) is my swap when a build runs tight. Construction ideas live in the PGA DFS strategy guide, entry sizing in the tournament strategy guide, roster shapes in how to build PGA DFS lineups, and the full GOLF DFS projections, ownership and stacks in the DataHub.
