Figuring out the Miami Dolphins in fantasy and DFS can be tough because there are so many options, which makes it hard to predict which player(s) will go off. One of the biggest questions: Raheem Mostert or De’Von Achane?
Earlier in the year, Achane shook the NFL DFS landscape by maximizing his touches with long touchdown runs and breaking slates before his injury. Mostert has been the main running back in the offense, but Achane’s big-play ability and overall blowout potential makes him intriguing.
Which is the better DFS option in Week 13? That, of course, depends on multiple other factors around your build. But let’s use the free Stokastic Player Compare Tool to find the answer.
Raheem Mostert or De’Von Achane | Week 13 Fantasy & DFS Advice
On the year, Mostert has turned in 13 touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry. In Week 12, he finished with 94 rushing yards and two scores. But that was with Achane inactive. In his last full appearance, Achane ran for 151 yards and a score on just 11 carries against the New York Giants. The problem is that was back on Oct. 8. We haven’t seen Achane since, outside of one carry on Nov. 19.
He’ll play today and if the betting odds hold, Miami will run away as 9-point favorites.
Here’s what Player Compare shows for Mostert and Achane.
The first thing that stands out is both players are going to be contrarian options with low ownership. Maybe that’s for good reason, as both players have a low Boom percentage when using the Stokastic Boom/Bust Tool.
Achane actually shows up with a better optimal lineup percentage, meaning he’s expected to be in the best lineup more often than Mostert.
From a strict projection and fantasy football standpoint, Mostert appears to be the play. From an upside perspective, Achane has the slight edge but knowing both are contrarian, Mostert is the safer choice projected for slightly more points.
Because these decisions aren’t just made in a one vs. one comparison, our Player Compare Tool is there to answer your other questions, as well. We can build out combinations of stacks to compare.
