4 easy steps:
1. Generate 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, or 5000 lineups using our contest generator.
2. Upload custom projections (or use Stokastic default projections).
3. Click “Run Contest Simulation.”
4. Review simulation data and export a CSV of your favorite lineups.
CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS
Upload your lineups and with custom fantasy point projections so that you’re tailoring the simulations to your DFS process, ensuring personalized lineup rankings.

What is the difference between NBA Data + Sims and NBA Sims MAX?
With our Data + Sims package, you’ll get access to all of our data as well as access to our contest generator and NFL Sims, allowing you to generate and simulate up to 500 lineups. This package is great for smaller field contest simulations. Our Sims MAX package offers unlimited access to all our data and the capability to generate and simulate up to 5,000 lineups at a time. Sims MAX is the premier DFS package on the market for high volume, large field GPP players.
What is NBA Sims?
NBA Sims is an advanced simulation tool the redefines the landscape of Daily Fantasy Sports tools. Import lineups through out contest generator, or by uploading a .csv file containing lineups and pit them against each other in a lifelike slate simulation. While seasoned pros have long leveraged simulation tools, now you too can effortlessly create your own custom simulation within minutes.
Here’s how it works: simply upload a .csv file featuring precisely 250, 500, 1000, 2000, or 5000 lineups. These lineups can be built using an optimizer, or by using our Contest Generator. From there, tailor your simulations using your own custom projections or simply use Stokastic’s reliable projections as a default option. With a click of the “Run Contest Simulation” button, your simulation will begin. Within minutes, you’ll gain access to a wealth of data points, both at the player and lineup levels. This will provide you with invaluable insights to make informed decisions about which lineups to enter for any given slate.
What is the Contest Generator?
The Contest Generator is a powerful tool that enables users to quickly and efficiently create a collection of lineups that closely align with our projected ownership for a specific slate. Users can customize their pool easily by boosting individual player ownership, and setting desired stack type exposures. After the lineups are created, users can seamlessly send them directly to our pre-contest simulator for further in-depth analysis by clicking the “Simulate Lineups” button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
What is the Contest Archetype Slider?
The Contest Archetype Slider within the Contest Generator provides users with more control over their generated contest pools. Slide towards high stakes for contest pools that are more concentrated with the top point-per-dollar players. Slide towards low stakes for a more diversified pool with dispersed ownership. Keep it on the default “Marquee” setting to return contest pools that will mirror the large field, high guarantee GPP’s on the selected slate. Keep in mind that our ownership projections are meant to reflect ownership for the “Marquee” GPP contest. This slider should be used to generate pools that match the contest you are entering.
Is correlation taken into account for the simulations?
Yes. Stokastic’s proprietary simulation technology leverages hundreds of thousands of data points to integrate correlation directly into the simulations. With correlation built in, you can confidently test out how different team stacks and stack types perform over thousands of simulation runs for a given slate.
How do I build my contest pool?
Using our Contest Generator, or any other optimizer of your choice, you can quickly and effectively create your contest pool. We recommend building a lineup set that mirrors what the field will look like for the contest you plan on entering. The more accurate your pool of lineups reflect the actual lineups that will be in the contest you are playing in, the better your simulation results will be.
Which metrics are most important to look at?
While all the metrics on both the pre and post contest simulator tools are important, the gold standard metric is the ‘Simulated ROI%’ column. This column presents a lineup’s ROI percentage based on the simulations that were ran. It’s the gold standard metric on this page, essentially ranking the lineups from best to worst.
What is the difference between the pre and post contest simulations?
The pre-contest simulation tool relies on the user’s inputs for both the lineups and the projections. It will provide insights based only on the uploaded lineups.
The post-contest simulation tool takes the actual lineups that were entered into a contest on DraftKings, and runs a simulation on them. There are no user inputs for this tool, as it relies on the exact lineups that were entered and Stokastic’s projections to run the simulation. This tool is only available for DraftKings contests.
What sites do these tools support?
We support DraftKings, FanDuel, and OwnersBox for the contest generator and pre-contest simulations. Post-contest simulations are only supported on DraftKings and OwnersBox contests.
Why is Fanduel not supported for the post-contest simulator?
Unfortunately, FanDuel does not support the exporting of their contest files like DraftKings does. Therefore, there is no way for us to retrieve the actual lineups that are being used for the contests. Without the actual lineups, there is no way for us to run a post contest simulation.
How is this different from other simulation tools on the market?
Game level simulation tools exist on the market currently to help users with projecting player performance. However, nowhere else do users have the ability to perform simulations on the contest level, making this tool one of a kind. This tool allows for analysis at the lineup level to help you find the edge. Gain insights into how ownership impacts ROI, which teams and stack types are most profitable, and which players contribute most to high ROI lineups.
