When I first started playing daily fantasy sports (DFS) in 2013, the idea of developing my own models from scratch was overwhelming.  Fortunately for me, I discovered a world of content online to navigate basic DFS concepts.  I quickly realized that even a very rudimentary understanding of statistics and optimization processes allowed for a huge edge over the average player, who commonly followed a “trust your gut,” “hometown team,” or “national TV game” approach to choosing their lineups.  Since then, the level of play has escalated dramatically, while the quality of content has stagnated.

Although the DraftKings and FanDuel “gold rush” may be over, there is still plenty of opportunity to turn a profit, especially if you approach DFS as a hobby that also supplements your income, rather than as a full-time profession.  I’m not going to provide everyone the information it takes to be the next #1 ranked player, but the content I choose to publish will always truthfully reflect my analysis.  All rankings, projections and other strategic information on the website will be my own and will mirror the information that actually goes into building my lineups, except when specified otherwise.

My goal is to help die-hard DFS fans have a more rewarding experience playing fantasy sports.  Awesemo.com will accomplish this by providing entertaining and accurate content, helping our users build competitive lineups without 40 hours of research a week.  I look forward to working with all of you.  Good luck!
