Giannis Antetokounmpo: Bucks vs. Bulls

NBA DFS Projections
DraftKings: 58.91 | FanDuel: 58.06
NBA DFS Ownership Projections
DraftKings: 27.5% | FanDuel: 28.1%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $11,600 | FanDuel: $12,000

Milwaukee lost two of the last three games, suffering a 135-133 heartbreaker against Sacramento on Sunday and a 128-100 embarrassing outing in Toronto on Tuesday.

The team does not play again until Sunday, which bodes well for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed last Thursday’s game with knee soreness.

Antetokounmpo is currently leading the league in made 2-pointers for the fourth consecutive season. He continues to shoulder a heavy load for the Bucks, leading the team with 32.3 points, 12.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists. The rebounds are his most per game since the 2019-20 season when Giannis won his second consecutive MVP award.

Victor Wembanyama has a 56.65 median fantasy point projection on DraftKings, and he actually is a tick above Antetokounmpo at 58.92 on FanDuel. Interestingly enough, the current “optimal” lineup featuring each player has Wemby’s 3 points behind on FanDuel but a whopping 7.5 behind on DraftKings. This is likely to change as more teams post injury reports, but it is interesting to see that spread on DraftKings, where there is more position flexibility. Of course, median projections do not tell the full story.

Both the DraftKings and FanDuel slates will be discussed in depth tonight, so sure to tune into Stokastic NBA Deeper Dive and Live Before Lock at 5:00 p.m. ET on YouTube for expert analysis, key insights and winning strategies to dominate your NBA DFS picks today!

Taurean Prince (neck) is questionable and Kevin Porter Jr. (meniscus) is out for at least a month, though the rest of the Bucks are healthy. Ryan Rollins saw a drop in his scoring during the last two games, but he is still a viable option against the toothless Chicago defense. The 23-year-old seized the opportunity to run the offense, and he is second on the team at 16.3 points per game, along with 5.6 assists and a stellar 1.9 steals.

Myles Turner is the only other Buck worth highlighting, though there are plenty of other fantasy point-per-dollar options at center. He can be employed as part of a game stack for added synergy.

Turning our attention to the Bulls, Josh Giddey has been DFS gold this season, posting career highs with 23.1 points, 10.0 rebounds and 9.1 assists. He has three consecutive 60-fantasy point efforts on DraftKings, including reaching 70 in his last game. The 23-year-old is all but assured of getting the double-double bonus, and he has a pair of triple-doubles. FanDuel’s scoring system is punitive for his stat profile, with negative-1 fantasy points for turnovers and no milestone bonuses.

Ayo Dosunmu missed the last two games with a knee injury, and he is questionable for tonight. If he is out, then more opportunities will go towards Tre Jones, who is already filling in for Coby White. If Dosunmu is in, he is a tournament flier, though it will make it tougher for Jones to return value on his increasing salary.

NBA DFS Picks Today: Building Blocks

Davion Mitchell: Heat vs. Hornets

NBA DFS Projections
DraftKings: 29.97 | FanDuel: 28.82
NBA DFS Ownership Projections
DraftKings: 24.6% | FanDuel: 49.8%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $5,500 | FanDuel: $4,600

Davion Mitchell is a nice value play on FanDuel and more of a “glue guy” on DraftKings, with the higher salary pushing him towards a fringe option that may slip below 15% in tournaments.

Mitchell is a terrific on-court NBA player who is great on defense, a strong secondary facilitator and he can impact the game without scoring, as evidenced by his 14.2% usage rate with Miami.

The 27-year-old is doing a fantastic job running the Heat offense in the absence of Tyler Herro, with a career-high 7.9 assists. However, he is not a consistent scorer, averaging under 10 points per game during his 38-game tenure in South Beach. Looking at the Stokastic Boom/Bust Tool, we can see that he has slight positive leverage with a 28.4% of being in the “optimal” lineup, against his 24.6% rostership. To be clear, this is a great matchup with a 240.5-point game total and no Bam Adebayo, but Mitchell topped 27 DraftKings fantasy points only twice in eight games this season.

Norman Powell missed three games with a groin issue, though he logged 28.3 and 30.5 minutes in his two games earlier this week. After a breakout year in his age-31 season that saw him average 21.8 points per game, the former sixth man continued that tend with 23.2 points per game in his five contests for coach Erik Spoelstra. He is going to have to keep putting the biscuit in the basket with Miami missing their two best scorers.

Kel’el Ware is a decent play on DraftKings and FanDuel at $5,600. The power forward eligibility on the blue site is helpful, and anything less than a double-double tonight with three stocks (combined steals and blocks) is going to be a disappointment. Andrew Wiggins and Jaime Jaquez Jr. are steady contributors for FanDuel, though they are below average at their current DraftKings salaries.

LaMelo Ball is a tournament target for Charlotte, providing differentiation from upper ranges of the salary sheet. He missed the last two games with an ankle issue, but indications are that he will return tonight. The Miami defense is much less formidable without Adebayo, though it is hard to recommend more than a sprinkling of Miles Bridges and rookie center Ryan Kalkbrenner.

NBA DFS Picks Today: Building Blocks

Daniel Gafford: Mavericks at Grizzlies

NBA DFS Projections
DraftKings: 28.59 | FanDuel: 29.62
NBA DFS Ownership Projections
DraftKings: 33.8% | FanDuel: 16.9%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $5,000 | FanDuel: $5,400

Daniel Gafford is currently the most popular player on DraftKings; however, that is likely to change as more news is posted. He is far less appealing on FanDuel, where he costs gamers the lone center spot.

Gafford played in three games this season, with his minutes increasing from 17.3 to just shy of 25 in the two most recent tilts. The Stokastic NBA DFS Projections have him for 23.9 minutes, 12.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.5 stocks. Memphis is without Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke, which means more frontcourt minutes for Santi Aldama and Jock Landale, who are far from imposing in the paint. Dereck Lively II is out for another week and Anthony Davis is doubtful, though it is hard to give the oft-injured Gafford more than a 27-minute ceiling.

Jaren Jackson Jr. should feast against the depleted defense, and he is always a fun tournament target since his mercurial game logs tend to keep his salary at a reasonable level. If Ja Morant is engaged tonight, he could flirt with 50 fantasy points. If he is sullen and pouty, then gamers will be kicking themselves for rostering the temperamental tyrant.

D’Angelo Russell looks like a fine option across all DFS sites, particularly if he remains in the starting lineup. If he is back to a bench role, his minutes are less secure, even for the depleted Mavericks.

Today’s Top Sports Betting Picks

If you’re serious about winning in NBA DFS, you know the edge comes from having the right tools. The same principle applies to sports betting, and that’s where Portfolio EV shines.

Take a bet like Russell Westbrook to have fewer than 25.5 points + rebounds + assists (PRA) tonight. On the surface, it’s a simple play. But behind the scenes, it’s a +EV bet, meaning it’s mathematically profitable based on the best odds available. Portfolio EV finds these +EV bets and allows you to bet them at high volume with just a couple clicks, maximizing your bankroll’s long-term profitability.

Digging into the details on Portfolio EV, Westbrook is currently listed at +100 for under 25.5 PRA on Hard Rock, which works out to a strong 6.7% expected ROI when compared to the -114 “true odds.” Most other books have this wager in the -120 to -125 range, with several books lowering the threshold to 24.5 PRA with -111 to -115 odds.

Westbrook is coming off a triple-double, though Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine both missed that game. The duo is expected to play tonight, which will take away from Westbrook’s opportunities, even if he remains with the first five against Oklahoma City.
