The UFC heads to Nashville, Tennessee, where a solid Fight Night card is set to take place. This event is shaping up to be a fun one, especially throughout DFS contests. With the assistance of our MMA Sims and Tools, we’re here to give you an edge with some of our top picks for UFC Fight Night.
UFC DFS Picks: Fight Night (July 12)
UFC 317 DFS Picks – Derrick Lewis ($7,200)
Let’s begin with the main event – a heavyweight battle between Derrick Lewis and Brazilian prospect Tallison Teixeira.
One of these big fellas is getting knocked out – it’s just a matter of who. The betting odds list the veteran Lewis as a +210 underdog, but our Sims are seeing clear value.
Lewis is landing in 52.3% of top lineups with a slate-high 27% leverage. Meanwhile, Teixeira is expected to be one of the most popular fighters on the slate, coming in with a 60% ownership projection. In a high-variance, knockout-heavy matchup, the value lies with the lower-owned side.
Tuco Tokkos ($7,600)
Next up is a light heavyweight scrap that also carries serious knockout potential.
And once again, our Sims are siding with the underdog. Tokkos is projected for 19.7% ownership, yet he’s appearing in our top lineups 26.3% more than that.
Tokkos not only delivers power with his fists, but can grapple if needed, giving him slight potential on the ground as well.
UFC DFS Picks – Vitor Petrino ($9,600)
Petrino has the highest projection on the slate (89.3 FP) and still offers 21.5% leverage.
He’s showing up in 46% of top lineups, and the matchup sets up well. Both fighters are coming off a loss, but Petrino enters as a massive favorite (-700). His power and durability give him a clear edge in this heavyweight tilt. If you’re spending up, he’s the guy.
Kennedy Nzechukwu ($8,800)
With a 73.21-point projection and nearly 37% exposure in our top lineups, it’s hard to ignore Kennedy Nzechukwu.
The Nigerian takes on Brazilian Valter Walker, in a prelims heavyweight bout. The edge leans Nzechukwu’s way. He holds a clear reach advantage and is landing 5.37 significant strikes per minute — nearly triple Walker’s 1.79.
This could be one of the more electric prelim fights, and our Sims are siding with the favorite.
