Fantasy Football: Week 15 NFL Waiver Wire Pickups | ESPN + Yahoo

Keke Coutee, Houston Texans (55% available)

The Texans’ offense was a mess Sunday. They were missing most of their top options, including Will Fuller (suspension), Brandin Cooks (neck/foot), David Johnson (reserve/COVID-19) and Randall Cobb (toe). That meant the Bears were able to focus their efforts on slowing down Coutee, who caught all three of his targets for 24 yards. The good news is that he did find his way into the end zone, which helped salvage his stat line. Johnson has not tested positive for COVID-19, so he could be back next week against the Colts. Cooks could also return, which would help take some of the pressure off of Coutee. Still, as one of the few healthy wide receivers left, Coutee is at least a viable WR3 in most fantasy football leagues on Yahoo and ESPN.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 1 (10%-15% of FAAB budget)

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons (89% available)

Julio Jones (hamstring) was unable to play Sunday against the Chargers, which contributed to Gage catching five of seven targets for 82 yards. He also threw a 39-yard touchdown pass, leaving him with a juicy overall stat line. Jones could return this week, but with the Falcons out of the playoff hunt, they might be cautious and keep him out longer. If he does sit, then Gage should once again see an increased target share, making him an appealing WR3 option that has WR2 upside for Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 2 (5%-10% of FAAB budget)

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (83% available)

We might not see Carson Wentz start for the Eagles again anytime soon. Hurts helped lead them to an improbable win against the Saints on Sunday, throwing for 167 yards and a touchdown along the way. The big news was his ability to do damage with his legs since he finished with 18 carries for 106 yards. Running quarterbacks can provide tremendous value in Yahoo and ESPN fantasy leagues, which should immediately put Hurts on your radar if you need help at the position.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 3 (5%-10% of FAAB budget)

Nelson Agholor, Las Vegas Raiders (64% available)

The Raiders didn’t look Agholor’s way often at the start of the season, giving him 29 targets across their first nine games. However, that’s all changed lately with him receiving 35 targets across their last four contests. He’s made his increased opportunities count, posting 20 catches for 280 yards and two touchdowns during that stretch. It’s also worth noting that five of those 35 targets were red zone targets. That’s important because he’ll face a Chargers team in Week 15 that is tied for the fifth-most touchdown passes allowed in the league. Keep and eye on him in ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 4 (3%-5% of FAAB budget)

Gabriel Davis, Buffalo Bills (93% available)

Josh Allen didn’t exactly have a great game against the Steelers on Sunday, completing 24 of 43 pass attempts for 238 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. One of those scores did go to Davis, though, who finished with three catches for 19 yards, as well. While his yardage total wasn’t great, it was encouraging that he received eight targets. He has also caught a touchdown pass in three straight games. It’s not certain that John Brown (ankle) will be activated from the IR this week, and if he were to remain sidelined, then Davis would continue his expanded role within the Bills’ offense.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 5 (3%-5% of FAAB budget)

Jeff Wilson, San Francisco 49ers (81% available)

There aren’t many viable running backs options on the waiver wire this week. If you do need help at the position, then Wilson is at least someone to consider. Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon have barely been involved in the 49ers’ offense lately, leaving Raheem Mostert and Wilson to lead their backfield. That’s helped Wilson generate 118 rushing yards and a touchdown over their last three games. He’s also received eight targets during that stretch compared to seven targets for Mostert. Week 15 brings a favorable matchup against the Cowboys, who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game in PPR scoring to opposing running backs.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 6 (3%-5% of FAAB budget)

Lynn Bowden, Miami Dolphins (98% available)

The Dolphins are running out of healthy receiving options. Mike Gesicki (shoulder), DeVante Parker (leg) and Jakeem Grant (hamstring) were all injured against the Chiefs on Sunday and all three players could miss Week 15. At the very least, it looks like Gesicki and Grant will be sidelined. That should mean added opportunities are in store for Bowden, who caught seven of eight targets for 82 yards in that contest against the Chiefs.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 7 (3%-5% of FAAB budget)

Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears (90% available)

The Bears’ offense exploded against the Texans on Sunday, scoring 36 points in their blowout win. Mooney wasn’t overly active in the game, catching both passes thrown his way for 22 yards. One of his catches did go for a touchdown, though, marking his first score since Week 2. The Bears have had a very favorable schedule lately and that will continue in Week 15 against the Vikings, who have allowed the eighth-most passing yards per game and are tied for the fifth-most passing touchdowns allowed. That could mean a valuable performance is in the cards for Mooney, who has received 17 targets across the last three games.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 8 (1%-3% of FAAB budget)

Mitchell Trubisky, Chicago Bears (89% available)

Trubisky took advantage of his favorable matchup against the Texans by throwing for 267 yards and three touchdowns. He also didn’t throw an interception, making that back-to-back starts for him without a pick. Just as encouraging is that he completed at least 72.7% of his pass attempts in both contests. With the Vikings’ inability to stop the pass this season already discussed, Trubisky has an excellent opportunity to continue his recent hot streak.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Priority: 9 (1%-3% of FAAB budget)
