2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship DFS DraftKings Preview: Course History, Recent Form and Weather | PGA Sims Are 15% Off!

DraftKings NFL Best Ball Promo

The regular season on the PGA Tour is officially in the books, but there is still plenty of golf to be played. The FedEx Cup is set to begin with a sprint to the finish for all the tour’s best players looking to end the season on a high note. We’ll start to see reduced fields, but in this first leg of the playoffs, we still have around 70 players to choose from for FedEx St. Jude Championship DFS picks.

TPC Southwind hosts the FedEx St. Jude in Memphis, a regular tour stop and a course that gives a variety of skillsets a chance to compete. Almost all the firepower is here, minus Rory McIlroy, who is choosing to skip this first playoff event.

Course Overview: TPC Southwind

TPC Southwind is a par-70 layout that challenges players with water hazards, bunkers and tight fairways. Controlling ball striking will be the primary concern this week. The Bermuda greens play fast, and putting well on them is critical in Memphis. However, with this elite field, players will need every part of their game clicking.

This is a no-cut event, meaning every golfer will be guaranteed four rounds, an important factor when building your PGA DFS lineups. More holes equal more scoring chances, so golfers with volatility and upside can become even more valuable.

FedEx St. Jude Championship DFS Weather Report

As always, it’s crucial to monitor the PGA DFS weather reports leading into Thursday’s lock. Wind, rain and storm delays can dramatically shift scoring conditions and tee-time advantages.

Top FedEx St. Jude Championship PGA DFS Picks by Pricing Tier

Upper Tier

Xander Schauffele – $11,100

Unlike recent weeks, the top names are here and ready to play. That makes spending up harder but probably necessary. While Scottie Scheffler will get a ton of attention, Schauffele is my favorite starting point. He saves you $1,900 compared to Scheffler and brings elite upside.

Schauffele has battled injuries this year but seems to be rounding into form at just the right time. He finished seventh at The Open and eighth in Scotland, and his irons are back to elite levels. He is always solid off the tee, and a runner-up finish here in 2024 adds confidence. At 16-1 in the outright betting market, there’s value in all formats.

Also Considering: Tommy Fleetwood – $9,900

Mid-Tier

Aaron Rai – $8,300

Rai was one of the most popular plays last week, and he delivered. A fifth-place finish backed by over 10 strokes gained on approach is insane. The putter held him back from chasing down Cam Young, but it was still a highly positive showing.

The formula for Rai is simple: Keep striking it like that and find just a few more putts. He’s likely to be popular again, so you’ll need to consider how you build around him in a small-field, no-cut format. Still, he fits the course, the scoring setup and the mid-range salary range beautifully.

Also Considering: Daniel Berger – $7,800

Value Tier

Rickie Fowler – $7,000

It’s a win just to see Fowler in the FedEx Cup playoffs, and now he has a chance to climb into next week’s event. The irons remain inconsistent, but his driver is showing signs of reliability, and his short game is still trustworthy.

Fowler benefits from the non-cut format, as his blow-up holes are easier to absorb across four rounds. If the putter cooperates, he can easily outscore his finishing position. He’s a solid last-man-in for balanced builds or a cost-saving piece if you’re stacking elite names like Scheffler or Schauffele.

Also Considering: Emiliano Grillo – $6,600
