NFL Monday Night Football DFS Picks: Cowboys at Raiders (Week 11)

Dallas is in a must-win situation with the NFC East crown likely out of reach. It is likely going to take at least nine (if not 10) wins to have a chance at the final Wild Card berth in the NFC, which means the 3-5-1 pretty much need to win out. Las Vegas is in a tough spot at 2-7 and looking at a similarly insurmountable path as the Cowboys.

Clearly, this is a crucial game for both teams, and it should be fun with Dallas favored by a field goal, though the Raiders are willing to trade haymakers with anyone, giving this game a 49.5 total. This means there is ample DFS strategy to consider. In this edition of the Stokastic’s NFL DFS picks series, we’ll provide our Cowboys-Raiders Week 11 MNF DFS plays for the NFL Showdown action from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 11: Dak Prescott

Credit to Las Vegas for allowing only three opposing quarterbacks to throw for multiple touchdowns, with Drake Maye (287 passing yards) in Week 1 and Patrick Mahomes (286) in Week 7 logging more than 242 passing yards. Of course, the Raiders were stuck to single-digit points in four games this season, so opposing teams were able to methodically move the ball and secure victories in those games.

Teams facing the Raiders are throwing only 30.0 times per game on average, which is in the bottom quartile of the league. Dak Prescott, on the other hand, tossed fewer than 30 passes only once, in a 37-22 win in New York against the Jets where he still had 29 attempts. Excluding the two overtime games, Prescott logged 34 or more attempts in four of seven games.

In addition to leading the league in pass attempts per game, Prescott also sits atop the leaderboard with 114 first downs, ranks seven with 17 touchdowns and his 25.3 completions per game give plenty of attainable upside for all of the Dallas pass-catchers.

Prescott does not offer much rushing upside, scoring six touchdowns across his last 62 regular season starts. He averages around 12 yards per game, which doesn’t really move the needle, though he is mobile in the pocket and can buy time. He is not a particularly strong play in the multiplier slots for this particular player pool, but he is a stellar click for the flex/utility position.

Dallas Cowboys Positional Preview

Running Back | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Javonte Williams is averaging a career-best 5.2 yards per carry, well above the 3.6 he posted in his last two seasons in Denver after his horrific knee injury suffered in 2022. The Raiders are not terrible against the run, ranking fourth with 3.8 yards per carry and ceding 106.6 yards per game. In three of the last six games, Williams had an 80% or higher snap share. He has 35 targets, ranking fourth on the team, while rookie Jaydon Blue has one. Miles Sanders has eight, though he has not played since Week 4, and Hunter Luepke has five, all in the last seven games.

Blue is in the doghouse again, being inactive last week. He had a grand total of 45 snaps in the four games from Week 5 through Week 8, but he clearly is out of the picture. Fellow rookie Phil Mafah (shoulder) has been on injured reserve since the start of the season, though the seventh-round selection out of Clemson could be activated at some point to open his practice window.

Malik Davis saw the field on just 10 snaps over the last three games, getting five last week without Blue. He has just three carries for 6 yards this season. Dallas is fine using Luepke solo as the H-back or going with an empty backfield.

Williams is going to get every touch he can handle, seeing six games with at least 15 carries and averaging a tick shy of four targets per game, though the 39 looks resulted in just 25 catches for 93 yards. He also scored nine times.

Wide Receiver | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

CeeDee Lamb earned Pro Bowl accolades each of the last four seasons, being named to NFL Second-Team All-Pro twice and First-Team once. His 14.0 yards per reception are a career high, and he ranks sixth with 81.8 yards per game. Teammate George Pickens is just ahead of him with 84.9 yards per game, laying down a couple of monsters when Lamb was injured. This duo is arguably the best twosome in the game, and either is a threat to score at any time, which takes a lot of pressure off the running game and, in turn, the shaky offensive line.

Jalen Tolbert saw his snap share decline from 49% to 19% to just 10% last week, coinciding with the return of Lamb. Ryan Flournoy had a season-high 67% snap share last week, with returner extraordinaire KaVontae Turpin seeing his on-field presence cut in half compared to the two preceding games, though he still saw three targets.

Flournoy appears to be the WR3, but he is well behind the rest of the skill position players and probably Turpin in the pecking order, despite the extra playing time.

Tight End | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Jake Ferguson is second on the team with 66 targets, only because Lamb missed four games. Even though Ferguson collected half of his targets in the four games without Lamb, he is still a key cog in the passing game, having taken the baton from Dalton Schultz. In Week 4, Ferguson ended his 22-game scoreless streak, and he had six touchdowns in the last eight games.

Luke Schoonmaker had at least two targets in six of the last eight games, playing on around one-third of the offensive sets. He had 14 total targets in this timeframe, which is not sexy but also not two like Brevyn Spann-Ford.

Kicker | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Brandon Aubrey is one of the best kickers in the game, earning Pro Bowl accolades in each of his first two seasons, along with one First- and one Second-Team All-Pro designation. Thus far he missed one kick this season, and that was a 68-yarder last Sunday at the end of the first half.

Defense | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Dallas has a scant seven takeaways in nine matchups, with the Raiders suffering 12 interceptions but only two fumbles lost in nine games. The Cowboys average just over two sacks per game, so they should be able to make some headway against Las Vegas, which allows three per performance.

NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 11: Brock Bowers

Brock Bowers

DFS Salary
DraftKings: $10,400
FanDuel:
$9,600
Fantasy Points
DraftKings:
18.16
FanDuel: 14.68

It has been a rollercoaster of a second season for Brock Bowers, who had an all-time season as a rookie tight end, ending with both Pro Bowl honors as well as being named to the First-Team All-Pro squad. The 13th overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft set the record for most receptions and yards by a rookie tight end, as well as the most overall receptions by a rookie, besting Puka Nacua from the prior season.

Bowers “tweaked” his knee in the opener against New England, then tried to play through the injury, wearing a brace. Finally, he gave in after Week 4, not suiting up again until Week 9. The return was epic to say the least, with Bowers scoring a second touchdown to put the Raiders ahead with 1:52 remaining before scoring again in overtime after Jacksonville managed to force an extra period. All told, he turned 13 targets into 12 catches for 127 yards and a trio of tuddies.

Last week, Denver made an effort to keep Bowers in check, and he saw just three targets for a 33-yard reception. Dallas is mediocre against tight ends, with 10 different players topping 30 yards against them. That may not seem like a lot, but it is a consistent issue.

Michael Mayer would start for around one-third of the teams in the league, and now that Jakobi Meyers is in Jacksonville, the 35th overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft is the third-best pass-catcher for Las Vegas. In the five games where both Mayer and Bowers were healthy, Mayer has a strong 18 targets. Keep in mind Meyers was the WR1 for all of those outings, save for last week.

Ian Thomas is the TE3, though he is relegated to a part-time role of around 15% to 20% of the snaps with his counterparts healthy, earning just five targets on the season.

Las Vegas Raiders Positional Preview

Quarterback | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Geno Smith made the Pro Bowl the first two seasons after Seattle dealt Russell Wilson to Denver, including winning the NFL Comeback Player of the year in 2022, leading the league with a 69.8% completion rate, which was also a franchise record. The NFL nomad also had 50 touchdowns against 20 interceptions in these campaigns. Smith is the epitome of league average at this point of his career, coming down from a terrific late-blooming breakout.

Definitely consider Smith for the flex/utility position with Dallas one of the most fantasy-friendly defenses for opposing quarterbacks. Running Back | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Las Vegas went back to the well with an early selection on offense, choosing Ashton Jeanty sixth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. While Jeanty may not reach the lofty heights of Bowers, who finished second for Rookie of the Year, he is on the short list and has time to gain a little ground against Jaxson Dart and Emeka Egbuka.

Looking at the OddsShopper Live Odds page, Jeanty is -109 for over 63.5 rushing yards, -105 for over 14.5 receiving yards and -140 to score a touchdown. Five of Jeanty’s last six games resulted in double-digit fantasy points, even under the half-PPR format on FanDuel.

Real ones will remember the midsummer moment last year for NFL Best Ball when Zamir White was expected to be the presumed replacement for Josh Jacobs, who took his talents to Green Bay. By the end of the season, White finished tied for fourth with Sincere McCormick at 183 rushing yards and well behind the dusty duo of Alexander Mattison (420 rushing yards) and Ameer Abdullah (311 rushing yards).

White began this season as the backup to Jeanty, losing that role in Week 4 to Raheem Mostert, who has held on to the low-volume role, earning four targets and 17 carries across six games. Second-year back Dylan Laube was on the field with the offense only once since Week 3, getting five snaps in Week 7 during the 31-0 drubbing in Kansas City.

Wide Receivers | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Tre Tucker is the main wideout for Las Vegas, though he is far from a WR1. Just prior to the trade of Jakobi Meyers, the Raiders reunited Tyler Lockett with coach Pete Carroll and Smith after the 11-year veteran asked for his release from Tennessee. On his best days, he is a possession receiver, though he looked more effective than rookies Dont’e Thornton Jr. and Jack Bech. The rookie duo combined for 32 targets, 13 receptions and 171 yards. Sad!

Grant Calcaterra and former Indianapolis Colt Kylen Granson round out the viable tight end options, though Granson’s last target was in Week 2 and Calcaterra got two of his eight over the last four games. Cameron Latu may be on the field for a handful of snaps if active, though the rookie has not yet been targeted.

Kicker | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

Daniel Carlson is in the midst of a slump, having converted on just 12 of 16 (75%) of his field goals, missing three of six from 50-plus. He was an All-Pro in 2021 and 2022, though in the two-plus subsequent seasons, he slipped a little to an 84% success rate. Allegiant Stadium is favorable for kickers, so do not be shy about rostering either Monday Night Football participant.

Defense | Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11

The Raiders are collecting just two sacks per game, which is towards the bottom of the league, while Dallas is ceding just over 1.5 quarterback takedowns per tilt. Turnovers are relatively equal with each side around 1.2 each game.

NFL DFS Picks for Cowboys-Raiders NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 11: Rankings

Top 10 NFL DFS Showdown Picks for Cowboys-Raiders

  1. Brock Bowers: Has a better median fantasy point-per-dollar projection than the other apex options.
  2. CeeDee Lamb: Should cut through the Raiders secondary like a hot knife through butter.
  3. Ashton Jeanty: Massive opportunity share.
  4. Javonte Williams: Similar to Jeanty, though on a much more crowded offense.
  5. George Pickens: Looking for his next big paycheck; +150 to score a touchdown looks like a fun wager.
  6. Jake Ferguson: Crazy that he was blanked in Denver during the 44-24 Week 8 loss.
  7. Dak Prescott: Helms the prolific offense, though harder to see a path to success in the multiplier slot for the largest tournaments.
  8. Tre Tucker: Only three games above 60 yards, but his 8-145-3 performance in Washington was a slate-breaker. Shares punt return role with Alex Bachman.
  9. Geno Smith: Single-digit fantasy points in five of nine starts.
  10. Brandon Aubrey: The lack of defense by either team makes for a crowded top 10.

Secondary Options

  1. Daniel Carlson: Solid salary relief.
  2. Michael Mayer: Arguably the second-best receiver on his team.
  3. Tyler Lockett: Led the team with six targets in Week 10, catching five for 44 yards.

Lottery Tickets

  1. KaVontae Turpin: Should see two or three targets and potentially a carry, in addition to punt and kickoff return role.
  2. Raheem Mostert: Third on the team with 17 carries for 84 yards; Smith has 30 carries for 88. Shares kickoff return duties with Laube.
  3. Ryan Flournoy: Will at least have an on-field presence.
  4. Dallas DST: Should be good for a handful of combined sacks and turnovers.
  5. Las Vegas DST: Gap in median fantasy points is much wider than being adjacent in the rankings.
  6. Jaydon Blue and Malik Davis: Blue may not be active, which would make this the appropriate rank for Davis as a contingency play. Neither has any appeal if both are active. Blue returns kickoffs on occasion.
  7. Hunter Luepke: Just 14 carries for 46 yards in his last 25 games, with 21 targets for 16 receptions, 131 yards and a touchdown.
  8. Luke Schoonmaker: Meh.
  9. Dont’e Thornton Jr. and Jack Bech: Appeared that the organization regretted these draft selections midway through the preseason.
  10. Jalen Tolbert: Secondary kickoff returner when Blue is inactive.
  11. Dylan Laube: Would need something to befall Jeanty in-game, and then he would still be well behind Mostert.
  12. Ian Thomas, Brevyn Spann-Ford, Alex Bachman and Jalen Cropper: The dreggiest of the dregs.
