OwnersBox NFL DFS Picks: Patriots-Steelers DFS Values for Thursday Night Football

OwnersBox NFL DFS is back for the Thursday Night Football showdown between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers. There are several players under $5,000 popping as great values on this slate, so let’s break down the best OwnersBox NFL DFS value plays for Week 14 TNF.

OwnersBox NFL DFS Picks: Steelers-Patriots TNF DFS Values

Juju Smith-Schuster – $3,500

Smith-Schuster only saw three targets in Week 13, but he led the Patriots in route participation at 87.9%. The matchup isn’t great against a Steelers defense that has given up the 25th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past five weeks, per Fantasy Points. However, in a game that is expected to be extremely low scoring, Smith-Schuster could pay off this price tag with a handful of receptions. Smith-Schuster’s projection of 6.94 fantasy points in Stokastic’s OwnersBox NFL DFS projections is the ninth highest on the slate, and every player projected better is also more expensive.

Diontae Johnson – $5,000

Johnson leads the Steelers in target share this season at 23.5%, and he is second on the team in route participation at 79.7%. The Patriots have given up the 10th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past five weeks. Johnson’s projection of 9.60 fantasy points is the sixth best on the slate, and every player projected better is also more expensive.

George Pickens – $4,800

Pickens leads the Steelers in route participation at 89.2%, and overall he leads the Steelers in targets with 77. In two games since interim offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner took over, Pickens has been targeted 10 times to Johnson’s 13. That is, of course, a tiny sample size with the new offense, and the two receivers have similar upside. Pickens’ projection of 9.14 fantasy points is the seventh best on the team.

DeVante Parker – $4,000

Parker saw nine targets in Week 13 on 81.8% route participation. Parker is still averaging just over four targets per game this season, but it’s possible that Week 13 was the start of a positive trend for Parker with Bailey Zappe at quarterback and Demario Douglas out. Parker’s projection of 7.32 fantasy points is the eighth best on the slate.

Hunter Henry – $3,800

Henry has a sneakily good matchup with a Steelers defense that has given up the sixth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to tight ends over the past five weeks. Henry was also second on the Patriots with four targets in Week 13, and he was fourth on the team in route participation at 66.7%. Henry’s projection of 6.31 fantasy points is the 11th best on the slate.
