The SuperFlex format on OwnersBox NFL DFS makes it extremely important to get quarterbacks and their stacking partners correct since you’re likely to be rostering two players from the position. SuperFlex DFS also causes the best DFS plays at quarterback to be higher owned, but when the value is there it can be hard to fade.
OwnersBox NFL DFS Strategy: Top Quarterbacks
Given the importance of finding standout QBs, let’s take a look at the best quarterbacks for NFL Week 14 using Stokastic’s custom OwnersBox NFL DFS projections.
OwnersBox DFS Quarterback Plays
Patrick Mahomes, $7,200
Mahomes has the highest projection (21.26 fantasy points) of any quarterback on the slate, in a great matchup with a Bills defense giving up the 5th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy-points-per-game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. Mahomes can, of course, always be paired with Travis Kelce ($6,900), but the pass catching options after Kelce aren’t as straightforward as most teams. Rashee Rice ($5,200) is likely the next best option to pair with Mahomes, after running routes on 66.7% of dropbacks in week 13 and seeing 9 targets. Finally, with Isiah Pacheco out, Jerick McKinnon ($4,800) may return to his role as an elite receiving running back.
Josh Allen, $7,600
Allen has the second-best projection (20.54 fantasy points) of any quarterback on the slate. The Chiefs defense has been a middling matchup recently, giving up the 17th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy-points-per-game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. Allen has natural stacking partners in Stefon Diggs ($7,400), Dalton Kincaid ($4,800), Gabriel Davis ($5,600), and Khalil Shakir ($3,900).
Brock Purdy, $6,600
Purdy has the third-best quarterback projection (19.38) on the slate, against a Seahawks defense that has given up the 19th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy-points-per-game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. Purdy has fantastic stacking partners in Christian McCaffrey ($7,900), Brandon Aiyuk ($6,100), Deebo Samuel ($6,000), and George Kittle ($5,200).
Joshua Dobbs, $6,000
While it briefly looked like the Vikings were going to make a quarterback change, they’ve named Dobbs the starter again in week 14, and he is the top point-per-dollar play on the entire slate this week. Dobbs has a solid matchup with a Raiders defense that has given up the 14th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy-points-per-game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. Perhaps more importantly, the Vikings get Justin Jefferson ($7,700) back this week for his first game with Dobbs. Along with Jefferson, Dobbs can be paired with T.J. Hockenson ($5,700) or Jordan Addison ($5,300).
Jake Browning, $5,700
Browning is the second-best point-per-dollar quarterback play on the slate, despite a somewhat tough matchup with a Colts defense that has given up the 21st-most schedule-adjusted fantasy-points-per-game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. Browning is best paired with Ja’Marr Chase ($6,700), Tee Higgins ($5,700), or Tyler Boyd ($4,500).
