Underdog Fantasy NFL Pick’em Predictions: Justin Fields a Lock (November 27)

Welcome to Stokastic’s Underdog Fantasy NFL pick’em predictions for November 27. The Chicago Bears will visit the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. The 3-8 Bears are 3-point underdogs to the 6-5 Vikings. Justin Jefferson is getting closer to a return for the Vikings but isn’t ready yet, while Cam Akers and Kirk Cousins are done for the season. We’ll see Joshua Dobbs at QB and Alexander Mattison get the bulk of the work at running back.  D’Onta Foreman is out for Chicago but Khalil Herbet and Roschon Johnson are in. This game has a total of 43.5. Let’s get to the picks, starting with Justin Fields.

Justin Fields  H/L 19.55 Fantasy Points

Justin Fields had 104 rushing yards last week on 14 attempts. In Week 6 against the Vikings, he had 46 yards on 8 attempts before exiting due to injury. The Vikings allow 17.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, and we know that the Bears’ offense runs through Fields. He’s scored more than 20 fantasy points in three of the six games he finished and should have some extra motivation against the team he suffered the injury too.

The Bears have a 20.25 implied team total, telling us they should score at least two touchdowns. Fields is going to get a share of those. Stokastic has Fields projected for 19.44 fantasy points with a 39.2 ceiling tonight. I like Fields to do well on the ground and through air with the help of DJ Moore. The Vikings allow the 10th most passing yards to wide receivers.

Best Underdog NFL Fantasy Play: Justin Fields Higher than 19.55 Fantasy Points

Alexander Mattison H/L 10.5 Receiving Yards

Alexander Mattison now has a full share of the backfield since Cam Akers is out for the season. He’s averaging 3.3 targets per game and 6.5 yards per reception in 11 games. Mattison gets a favorable matchup for this prop tonight, as the Bears allow the most receiving yards to running backs—140 more than the next team.

In Week 6 against this same Bears team, Mattison had a season-high seven targets and 28 receiving yards. His receptions prop opened at 1.5 but has since gone up to 2.0. Stokastic’s NFL Bet Pro tool has Mattison projected for 12.4 receiving yards.

Joshua Dobbs H/L 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (1.25x)

Joshua Dobbs has surprised many by stepping in for Kirk Cousins, leading the Vikings to a 2-1 record and scoring seven total touchdowns in three games. I love stacking plays on Underdog, and if we can take advantage of boosted odds, we will do it. Three of his seven touchdowns have been on the ground, but this is the perfect matchup for Dobbs to score through the air. Chicago has allowed 22 passing touchdowns on the season, the third most in the NFL. After a month with the Vikings, Dobbs should be more comfortable with his receivers and should have the opportunity to connect in the end zone tonight!
