Underpriced NFL DFS Week 5 Smash Plays

Daniel Jones – QB, Colts ($5,800)

Jones’ rushing floor and dual-threat ability give him tournament-winning upside at a mid-tier price. He’s topped 18 DraftKings NFL DFS points in two of his last three starts, and with over 40 rushing yards in multiple games, he’s underpriced relative to his ceiling. For NFL DFS Week 5 tournaments, he’s a high-upside GPP play who could crack 25-plus points.

Garrett Wilson – WR, Jets ($6,100)

Wilson has quietly been one of the highest-usage receivers in football. His target shares of 37%+ in multiple games give him alpha-level volume, but his price hasn’t caught up. Even without elite quarterback play, potential for double-digit targets and guaranteed red zone involvement make him a mispriced WR1.

George Pickens – WR, Cowboys ($6,600)

Pickens has stepped into a true WR1 role with CeeDee Lamb banged up. He posted eight catches for 113 yards and a touchdown in Week 4, and he has four touchdowns already this season. At under $7,000, he’s underpriced compared to the market share and red zone usage he now commands.

Fairly Priced NFL DFS Week 5 Options

Jonathan Taylor – RB, Colts ($8,000)

Taylor is back to bell-cow status, handling 82.4% of snaps and over 20 touches per week. At 23.9 DraftKings points per game, his efficiency and workload perfectly match his salary. He’s the definition of fairly priced: Expensive but worth every dollar in cash or GPP builds.

De’Von Achane – RB, Dolphins ($7,300)

Achane’s explosiveness and heavy usage in an ailing Miami offense make him worth his salary. Averaging nearly 20 DraftKings points, his workload and ceiling align with expectations. He’s neither a discount nor an overpay – just a strong piece in balanced builds.

Trey McBride – TE, Cardinals ($5,800)

McBride is priced as the slate’s top tight end, and for good reason. With a 27% target share and near every-down usage, he’s delivering exactly what his salary suggests: Steady 10- to 15-point games with touchdown upside on top of that.

Overpriced or Risky NFL DFS Week 5 Picks

Jared Goff – QB, Lions ($6,500)

Goff’s lack of rushing keeps his ceiling capped, and his 18-ish DraftKings points per game don’t justify a mid-$6,000 price tag (which could be the second highest of the slate, depending on Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels injury statuses. With Detroit leaning on its run game near the goal line and fewer than 30 attempts in his last three games, Goff’s path to a 30-point tournament-winning score is slim.

Derrick Henry – RB, Ravens ($7,000)

Henry is splitting snaps almost evenly (51.4%) and has no passing-game involvement (five total targets). At just 13.7 DraftKings points per game, his salary rides on name value rather than current role. He’s touchdown-dependent, which makes him risky at $7,000.

Sam LaPorta – TE, Lions ($4,200)

LaPorta’s 8.4 DraftKings points per game don’t match his pricing. Despite heavy snap counts (88.2%), he’s seeing minimal targets (17%) and touchdown opportunities. Unless Detroit re-schemes to feed him, he’s overpriced and touchdown-dependent at $4,200.
