Week 12 NFL PrizePicks for the Sunday Main Slate | Carson Wentz & George Kittle

Welcome to the weekly PrizePicks Main slate breakdown. In this article we’re looking at the best Fantasy Scores to target for the Week 12 Sunday main slate. If you’re new to the site, PrizePicks allows you to bundle over or under selections into parlays for big payouts. So, from each game we’re offered a fantasy total or prop (single stats DFS) amount on select players and then need to make a selection as to whether that player will go over or under the total.

Using the Awesemo weekly DFS projections (which also use 1-point/PPR scoring and 4-point passing TDs) and the Awesemo Prop Tool — which projects specific total for each player — I’ll be targeting the players that stick out as the best options here every week and hopefully provide a good guide as to how to build your PrizePicks tickets.

PrizePicks NFL Fantasy Scores DFS Picks: Week 12 Sunday Slate

QB: Carson Wentz over 205.5 passing yards

This is a really low total for an NFL quarterback and one we should be interested in going over on this week. Carson Wentz may not be the MVP candidate type player from early in his career anymore, but he’s still an average starter and has gone well over this total in all but three of his 10 starts this year. Wentz can also pick up some cheap yards here by tossing short to his explosive running backs and also has T.Y. Hilton back for this game. The Bills are a tough defense but they also tend to push teams towards higher volume passing days given the efficiency and speed with which they play on offense. The Colts are +7.0 underdogs here as well so the most likely scenario is that we see the Colts passing a lot late in this game. The NFL DFS stats on Awesemo for Week 11 has Wentz going for over 240 yards passing, and with that kind of difference between his over/under total and projection, attacking with an over looks like a very strong play to begin combo tickets with this week.

Other Picks:

  • Cam Newton over 22.5 rush yards: The Panthers will be starting Cam Newton in Week 11. While it’s OK to take a wait and see approach, the fact he rushed the ball on four of his nine snaps last week is a pretty good tell of what we should expect for Cam. He’s projected for over 40 rushing yards on Awesemo, which makes his 22.5 over/under on Prizepicks worth targeting with an over too.

RB: D’ Andre Swift under 16 fantasy points

There’s a lot of positive sentiment around D’Andre Swift heading into Week 11 as the second-year player ran for 133 yards and took a career high 33 carries in Detroit’s Week 10 tie. Dan Campbell is now calling plays for Detroit so running the ball more could be a thing for Detroit going forward. However, the match-up here says to avoid the Lions running backs at all costs in Week 11. Cleveland has only allowed 3.8 yards per carry against this season and have only allowed a running back to go over 90 yards rushing twice this season. Swift has ppr potential as well but the Browns are likely to play a ball control style offense here themselves, especially with Nick Chubb back, and could make this a slow-paced, low snap count game. Swift’s projected for a down week in the Awesemo projections here, where he’s sitting at around 13.5 fantasy points. He’s a strong fade candidate on these inflated totals in Week 11.

Other Picks

  • Jeff Wilson Jr. under 73.5 rushing yards: I don’t mind going under on another running back this week who is getting come sentiment. Jeff Wilson Jr. looks set to start for the 49ers this week with Elijah Mitchell out, but faces a Jaguars defense who has allowed just 3.9 yards per rush this year. Given how Kyle Shanahan likes to rotate backs, fading these big rushing totals on Wilson in Week 11 looks like a strong play too.

WR: Jaylen Waddle over 57.5 receiving yards

The Dolphins skill players are coming into Week 11 with low sentiment, but a great matchup. The Jets have allowed 9.7 yards per pass attempt against over their last three games and just allowed Stefon Diggs to go for 20.25 yards per catch last week. Jaylen Waddle burned his fantasy owners last week with a quiet game but there’s not many wideouts playing right now with a more secure target share than him. The Dolphins are down both Devante Parker and Will Fuller for the season so Waddle is going to keep seeing targets regardless of his week-to-week performance. Outside of the Baltimore game, he’s also improved his volume and output as the season has progressed and has gone for 60 or more yards receiving now in four of his last five games. Waddle’s projected for over 70 yards receiving in Week 11 on Awesemo and looks like another strong over play to target on a very timid over/under projection.

Other Picks

  • Adam Thielen under 13 fantasy points: The Packers defense needs to get more respect for fantasy purposes. This unit has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide-outs this year and only allowed three receivers to go for over 80- yards against them. Thielen has been out-targeted by Justin Jefferson over the last two weeks and projects well under this total in Week 11.

TE: George Kittle over 58.5 receiving yards

George Kittle has really broken through over the last few weeks and put a slow, injury plagued start behind him. The 49ers tight-end leads the team in targets over the last two games and faces off against a Jacksonville team who has allowed 11.55 yards per catch to his position. The Jaguars have ceded some monster receiving games already to tight-ends with far less pedigree than Kittle, including 115-yards on eight catches to Mike Gesicki in Week 6. The scare of a low volume game here is likely mitigated by Jacksonville’s propensity to give up big plays, and Kittle’s own yards after the catch ability (he’s averaging 12.6 yards per catch this year). Kittle is projected for over 65 yards receiving in this spot and makes for a very viable target candidate again this week.
