Yahoo Week 17 Grades and Values for NFL Daily Fantasy

Awesemo has a ton of great tools and NFL DFS rankings to tackle all the largest contests in DFS. This article will go through and highlight some of the week’s highest-projected Yahoo NFL picks at each position on the Week 17 main slate. It will also provide insight into rostership projections and provide some other matchup information for optimal Yahoo NFL picks for daily fantasy lineups each week.

Week 17 Yahoo NFL Picks, Grades & Values

Top Graded QB: Josh Allen $41 | Grades: A, Values: C

Josh Allen has rated out well all year long, and he is leading the projections this week on a slate where the Bills face Atlanta. The Falcons have the league’s worst pass rush and have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and second-most touchdowns as well. Allen is coming off his best game of the season but there should not be any letdown in this spot considering what is on the line (division win, playoffs etc.). His rostership projections are high, but he also has a near 3-point lead in the Awesemo projections over the next best quarterback this week. Allen’s a great building block to center lineups around.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 17.0%

Top Value QB: Trey Lance $20 | Grades: C, Values: A

Those who would rather spend up at other positions this week have a pretty elite value selection as well. Trey Lance carries the highest value score by a full point this week, for play on Yahoo, and is ultra-cheap at just $20. The 49ers obviously have a weaker opponent on tap as well in Houston, who have ranked in the bottom-10 in yards per pass attempt against all year. Lance averaged 11 carries and over 60 yards rushing in his two starts this year, so he brings a solid floor, and a Ceiling that remains untapped. A blowout win may not see him throw much but that is a risk you should be willing to take given what he can do on the ground.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 20.9%

Top Graded RB: David Montgomery | Grades: B, Values: B

The Bears David Montgomery rates out strongly this week and it seems like a spot where most will gravitate towards using him in some form or another. He has nearly a 40% rostership projection and is coming off a week where he was targeted nine times. Montgomery has actually averaged eight targets a game over his last four starts and was helped out by the Bears starting Nick Foles at quarterback in Week 16, who was great at targeting him on the short-range passes. Regardless of who starts (it looks like Andy Dalton) this is a great matchup against a Giants team who has allowed the sixth-most yards receiving and fifth-most rushing to opposing running backs this year.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 38.2%

Top Value RB: Jaret Patterson $12 | Grades: C, Values: A

The Washington Football Team have ruled out Antonio Gibson (Covid-19) for this week, and that means Jaret Patterson will likely be looked on to take a significant role. The undrafted rookie will obviously not be looked on as any elite replacement by many but his role and price dictate that he is likely to be an elite fantasy option. Patterson has had some productive moments already in 2021 and took nine carries last week in the blowout loss to Dallas. He comes in just barely above the minimum salary and grades out with the best value score of anyone else at running back this week by a country mile in the Awesemo Projections. Expect his rostership projection to rise as Sunday approaches.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 1.0%

Top Graded WR: Antonio Brown $28 | Grades: A, Values: C

The Buccaneers almost did not miss a beat last week with both of their top wide receivers out and that is because they have awesome depth in the likes of Antonio Brown to fill the void from Mike Evans and Chris Godwin missing the game. Brown promptly saw 15 targets last week (the highest wide receiver in that stat saw just three) and heads into a game against a weaker Jets defense where his team has a monster 29.25 implied team total. Brown grades out with the second-best points projection on this week’s main slate and comes in way cheaper than the other top options who are well above $30 on Yahoo.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 15.1%

Top Value WR: Christian Kirk $16 | Grades: B, Values: A

The Cardinals receiver situation is starting to take shape without DeAndre Hopkins out, and one player who has clearly benefited from the Hopkins absence is Christian Kirk. He has seen 21-targets over the last two games (nine more than the highest wide receiver) and should be in a spot to push for double-digit targeting. The Cardinals – Cowboys features two solid offenses and has Arizona entering as +5.5 underdogs. Despite this pretty solid spot, Kirk rates out with an under 10% rostership projection, yet has the best value score this week too. He is one of the top values, regardless of position, on the Week 17 slate on Yahoo.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 8.1%

Top Graded TE: Zach Ertz $17 | Grades: A, Values: B

As mentioned above, the Cardinals receiver situation has started to take form with DeAndre Hopkins out and it has become painfully obvious that Zach Ertz is now a focal point of the offense. While that will certainly mean fewer explosive plays downfield, it is great news for Ertz’s fantasy value as the veteran has always been a player reliant on seeing heavy volume to really pay off, fantasy-wise. He rates out with the third-best points projection at tight end on this main slate but, at just $17, also has the best value score of the top-three tight ends this week, by a large margin.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 13.4%

Top Value TE: Dalton Schultz $14 | Grades: B, Values: B

While Ertz has become a huge target hog in Arizona and one player who has put very consistent targeting at the position all year, and is also in a quality offense, is the Cowboys Dalton Schultz. Schultz has now scored in two straight games and quietly has put up five games with 14 or more Yahoo points this year. Schultz rates out with the second-best value score this week and has a points projection that has him ranked well within the top-eight tight ends for DFS play this week.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 16.8%
