Yahoo NFL Picks: Week 10 Thursday Night Football | Ravens vs. Dolphins Tonight

Tonight the Miami Dolphins are hosting the Baltimore Ravens in the featured Thursday Night Football matchup, and Yahoo Fantasy is offering NFL DFS single-game contests. The general concept of creating a team remains the same, but this is a one-game player pool. The twist is that any position player can be rostered, and one is designated to receive a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points. Using Awesemo’s expert NFL projections and rankings, these are the top Yahoo NFL picks for the Week 10 Thursday Night Football game tonight.

Yahoo NFL Picks: Week 10 Thursday Night Football

Top SUPERSTAR Options

The SUPERSTAR position will get a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points in the single-game format. Awesemo’s NFL DFS optimizer creates daily fantasy football cheat sheets. Check out who is popping in the Yahoo NFL DFS cheat sheet for the Week 10 Thursday Night Football game.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens – $39

Tonight marks the fourth prime-time game of the season for the Ravens. They will have one more appearance on Sunday Night Football during Thanksgiving week. In each of the prior three slates with Lamar Jackson, his popularity has landed him on between 95% and 97% of all rosters. When looking at the SUPERSTAR multiplier, only Jacoby Brissett is within 15 Yahoo points of Jackson, while Jaylen Waddle ($17), Marquise Brown ($28), Mike Gesicki ($20) and Myles Gaskin ($18) are all between 19 and 22 points away.

Jackson is averaging a career-high 276.1 yards passing per game, which is the seventh-highest mark in the league. Of course, he is also a tremendous runner who is seventh in the league in yards rushing per game with 75, which is barely 5 fewer yards per game than in his 2019 MVP campaign.

Awesemo’s data scientist Matt Savoca says that if you want to fade Jackson, then it is best to assume a game where his receivers do not perform well either. For more on this strategy as well as advice for DraftKings and FanDuel, check out his Week 10 NFL DFS Showdown Matchup Breakdown column.

Yahoo NFL Core Picks

Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens – $28

It should be no surprise that Marquise Brown has not surpassed his quarterback from a fantasy perspective in any game this season. However, he has been stellar in his own right, with at least 16 Yahoo points in six of his eight appearances. In each of these half-dozen outings, Brown has at least 116 yards or a touchdown. The return of Sammy Watkins ($16) after being out of action for a month with a hamstring strain should not have any impact on the fantasy prospects for Brown.

Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins – $20

Although he is a tight end, Mike Gesicki spends most of his snaps lining up in the slot or split out from the offensive line. With double-digit fantasy performances in four of his last six games, including two where he did not record a touchdown, Gesicki is a prime candidate as the lone Dolphin when looking to construct 4-1 Ravens onslaught lineups. Gesicki is second on the team to Waddle in targets.

Yahoo NFL Value Picks

Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins – $17

Listing Waddle in the value section is by no means an indication of his overall ranking tonight. It is just to put a couple other options first since Waddle is easily going to be the most popular Miami player on Yahoo tonight. He leads the team in targets with 80, but it should be pointed out that he has only scored in two games this season, and even with his heavy target share, he has 6 or fewer Yahoo points in four of his nine games and 11-plus in the other five.

Myles Gaskin, Miami Dolphins – $17

Myles Gaskin continues to perform well in all facets of the game, with 12-plus carries in each of his last three and 14 total targets. All four of his touchdowns have come in the last five games, including a pair of touchdown receptions against Tampa Bay in Week 5. Gaskin is the clear lead option in the backfield, though he will be spelled 20-25% of the time by his former college understudy Salvon Ahmed ($12), who is just one injury away from assuming Gaskin’s role as the lead option with Malcolm Brown on the injured reserve.

Final Thoughts

It is going to be hard to avoid Jackson tonight, though using him in the Flex and putting Brown or Mark Andrews ($22) in the SUPERSTAR slot could be a way to be unique. It could also be a path to success in the event they have a multi-touchdown game and Jackson does not end up with any touchdowns rushing.
