Even though the NHL scheduled today’s games poorly, there is still a 3-game slate on both sites. The Bruins and Lightning will look to close out their respective series at home today, while the Capitals and Blue Jackets will have a Game-6 regardless of the result today. Awesemo will give his take on each stack, then I (Tommienation1) will follow up with some additional analysis.
WSH1: Ovechkin-Kuznetsov-Wilson ($18,400 DK/$20,500 FD)
“The Capitals have a team total over 3, and their top line should be put in great spots tonight on home ice.”
This line has been great all series, posting a 62.4 Corsi For Percentage, 30.5 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes, and 11.8 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes at even-strength, creating as many shots as any line these playoffs. Kuznetsov and Ovechkin will play on the top power-play again, and they’ll be in a high-event matchup with CBJ1 at even-strength. This line has been a tough fade all series and it’s no different today. I’ll be trying to get most, if not all, of this line in my GPP lineup.
TB3: Killorn-Cirelli-Gourde ($12,500 DK/$12,700 FD)
“The Lightning have the highest implied total of the night, but their top-6 forwards are very expensive on both site. If you’re looking for cheap exposure, drop down the third line in tournaments.”
This line has quietly played very well in the first 4 games of the series, posting a 54.4 Corsi For Percentage with 31 shot attempts and 15 Scoring Chances in 31 minutes at even-strength. They’ll get to go against the Devils’ 3rd and 4th lines at even-strength, and both Killorn and Gourde will get time on the power-play. On a slate where you’ll need some value if you want to pay up for WSH1, BOS1, CBJ1, TB3 allows you a lot of flexibility with your roster.
