NHL DFS Picks: Top Stacks
Dallas Stars Line 1 (Joe Pavelski – Roope Hintz – Jason Robertson)
This stack has solid five-on-five numbers, with 3.32 expected goals for per 60 on moneypuck.com, and all three players are on the top power play unit. The Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas’ opponent tonight, are already one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL, and they are playing on a road back-to-back. The Top Stacks Tool gives the Stars the highest chance of being a top-2 stack tonight. With only three games on the slate, this stack is tough to avoid, even at extremely high ownership. The Stars also have the highest implied Vegas total of the night at 3.9.
Winnipeg Jets Line 2 (Blake Wheeler – Pierre-Luc Dubois – Nikolaj Ehlers)
If you are looking to get away from the chalkiest stack, this is a good option. The Islanders’ top 2 forward lines have been high event, and Dubois and Ehlers have great five-on-five numbers together going back to last season. The Jets have a low 2.7 implied total, and there are concerns with Ehlers’ ice time, but that should keep ownership low. The Top Stacks Tool has them at 9.8% positive leverage.

NHL DFS Picks: Defensemen
Shayne Gostisbehere ($5,200) Arizona Coyotes
Gostisbehere came out firing in his first game back, with nine shot attempts and five on goal. He is listed on the second power play, which will keep his ownership in check, but he is a great addition to an ARI1 stack, as he should play a lot of minutes with them at even strength, so there is some correlation. There are not a lot of top-tier options on defense tonight, but Gostisbehere does have some upside to hit the shots on goal bonus on DraftKings.
Caleb Jones ($2,800) Chicago Blackhawks
Jones is one of the top-projected value defensemen on Stokastic and is playing 17 to 20 minutes per night. He has 16 blocks in his last six games and should have a lot of opportunities to block shots as a huge road underdog tonight. He is at a very cheap price tag on DraftKings, making him a great option for the blocks bonus.
NHL DFS Picks: Goaltender
Karel Vejmelka ($7,200) Arizona Coyotes.
Vejmelka is projected for over 31 saves in Stokastic’s PGA DFS projections, and it’s a winnable game for the Coyotes against a struggling Flames team that has lost four out of its last four. Vejmelka has the best chance for the 35-save bonus on DraftKings among the goalies on tonight’s slate.
