Giants Moneyline

Projected ROI – 23%, Projected Win – 42%
Caesars: +250

Projected for the second-best ROI of the weekend, Joe Judge enters with one last home plea that the foundation has been laid in East Rutherford. New York is amidst a five-game losing streak and will look to hand Washington a similar losing streak to end their season while avenging their 29-30 defeat from Week 2. The Giants are 3-4 at home this season and welcomed Saquon Barkley’s first 100-yard rushing performance since 2019 last week. Establishing the run game will help Fromm through his second career start after a rough first outing. Jostling for draft position could appeal to some New York enthusiasts, but Judge is not likely captaining that movement after starting his tenure 10-22. The Giants’ defense has been formidable all season allowing 6.3 yards per pass attempt and 4.3 yards per rush on the season. Over the past three games, they improved to 5.5 yards and 3.9 yards, respectively, each in the top-12. The emergence of linebackers Lorenzo Carter and Azeez Ojulari should help the Giants contain Antonio Gibson and the Football Team’s 22nd-ranked scoring offense. Neither team has much to win or lose so expect Judge and staff to fight for their jobs one last time before the season ends.

Giants Spread

Projected ROI – 6%, Projected Win – 58%
Caesars: -110 ; +7

Backing the Giants and Jake Fromm after his first NFL start may not suit your gambling pallet. Regardless of the Georgia product going 6/17 for 25 scoreless yards and benching the day after Christmas, this spread is rather lucrative. New York’s home record and Week 2 meeting with Washington provide plenty of argument for seven points being a rather excessive line given each team’s comparably disappointing seasons and current losing streaks. The total (37.5) projects a low-scoring defensive battle which favors the Giants offensive situation if Fromm isn’t able to improve upon his post-Christmas disappointment. The last four meetings between New York-Washington have been decided by a combined 11 points, within one point twice and under seven points every time.

Giants – Washington Total

Projected ROI – 5%, Projected Win – 57%
Caesars: -110 ; +7

New York does have enough healthy weapons in Kenny Golladay, Evan Engram, and Darius Slayton to go along with Barkley for Fromm to get this Giants offense over their season average (15.7) and recent scoring slump. Washington has been extremely inept at defending the pass allowing 265.6 yards (30th) through the air per game. The Football Team is allowing a league-worst 9.4 yards per pass attempt over the last three weeks presenting Fromm with a much better matchup than the Philadelphia defense he faced on Dec. 26. Playing the over is similarly profitable to betting the spread and with each team allowing over 24 points per game and this matchup going over 37.5 in four straight meetings offers a high projected win.
