Charles Schwab 2022 Betting Picks & PGA Predictions
Ben Rasa’s Pick: Tommy Fleetwood
Outright: +4000 (BetMGM Sportsbook)
There is no doubt that Tommy Fleetwood can be a tough guy to put on the outright card, given he still hasn’t won on the PGA Tour. The talent is there and so is the form, but its always a nervous position to take. Fleetwood comes in off an impressive fifth-place finish last week at the PGA Championship where he gained strokes in all four categories. Seeing his outright number still at 40-1 was an immediate standout to me, as this field isn’t near the strength of one last week, and the game seems to be in fantastic shape. Fleetwood has all the tools to be a PGA Tour winner and despite not breaking thru yet he is one of my favorite outrights when his number sits at 40-1 in fields of this caliber.
Geoff Ulrich’s Pick: Gary Woodland
Outright: +5000 (DraftKings) | Top 5: +900 (DraftKings)
I like Gary Woodland for multiple reasons this week, not least of which is his betting number, which is at a solid +5000, and right in the range that the last three winners of this event went off at, pre-event. I also don’t mind the fact Woodland managed to play four solid rounds of golf last week, but keep himself out contention, as Sunday’s at majors can be draining for those in the top 10 down the stretch. The American’s 34th at Southern Hills may not impress you but he gained multiple strokes on approach, was accurate off the tee and showed good confidence with the putter. His ball-striking this year has been good enough to win on a track like Colonial, and let’s not forget this is a player who, just two months ago, held a one-shot lead over world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler at Bay Hill, with two holes to play. Woodland has been close all year, has unrated course history at Colonial and solid odds, making this a great week back him to add him to your betting cards.

Jason Rouslin’s Pick: Beau HosslerÂ
Outright & Each Ways: 250/1 (DraftKings)
Well, since Ben stole my pick of the week, the first thing I can say is to bet Tommy Fleetwood this week. But, if you are looking for a long shot that’s played well here in Texas over the last two events, with a tie for fourth and a tie for 17th, it’s Texas’ own Beau Hossler. He’s coming in at 250/1 on DraftKings this week, making his each-way odds rather appealing. He’s been a bit of a boom or bust this year, which is a great target for betting, as if he misses the cut, we move on to next week, rather than try and worry about it running a PGA DFS lineup.
Eric Lindquist’s Pick: xxxxxx
Outright: +xxxx
