With a star-studded field, including every eligible player in the OWGR top 50, the competition is going to be fierce. However, weather looks to be a major factor this week, with sustained winds forecasted upwards of 20 mph. 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational DFS Picks & Plays

Scottie Scheffler – $10,900

Scottie Scheffler is coming into the Arnold Palmer Invitational in excellent form, with top-10 finishes in six of his last nine starts. Bay Hill is one of the most predictive venues in terms of course history, and Scheffler has had notable success here in the past, including a win last year and a 15th-place finish in 2020. He ranks eighth in strokes gained total in windy conditions, first in strokes gained off the tee and sixth in strokes gained on approach over the last 36 rounds. With an early tee time on Thursday, Scheffler is well equipped to handle the high winds forecasted for Friday afternoon.

Patrick Cantlay – $9,100

Patrick Cantlay may have had a slow start to the year, but he appears to be back on track after a third-place finish at Genesis. Despite never having played the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Cantlay’s ball-striking profile is perfect for what Bay Hill demands. He ranks top 20 in this field in every statistical strokes gained category and is both long and straight off the tee. Cantlay is also fantastic in windy conditions, ranking fifth in that category in this field. With the sixth-highest projected point total, Cantlay is an excellent value pick on DraftKings.

Keith Mitchell is coming into Bay Hill in great form, with two top 5 finishes in his last three starts. He has gained 21.6 strokes tee to green over his last four events and is excellent off the tee. Mitchell has had great success at Bay Hill in the past, never missing a cut and finishing top 6 twice in four career starts. He has the highest ceiling projection of any golfer $8,000 and below and is an excellent pick for optimal builds on DraftKings this week.

Keegan Bradley – $7,600

Keegan Bradley may have had an up and down start to the 2023 campaign, but his solid game tee to green has been of great benefit to him in his career starts at Bay Hill. Bradley has made the cut in each of his last 10 tries, with three top-10 finishes. He also ranks ninth in strokes gained in windy conditions in this field and has the second-highest median projection in the $7,000 range. Bradley makes for an excellent pick to round out lineups.

GPP Flier: Taylor Montgomery – $7,400

Taylor Montgomery may have cooled off in recent weeks after a scorching hot start to the year, but he’s still a player to watch. As a bomber averaging over 315 yards off the tee, Montgomery is an excellent GPP flier pick. Past winners of this event have been bombers, including Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy. Montgomery ranks fifth in birdie-or-better percentage in this stacked field and has PGA DFS ownership projections around just 7% to 10%
