All of the PGA DFS content is geared toward providing information that will help with DraftKings and FanDuel daily fantasy golf, PGA odds and predictions in the best way possible. With the help of the Awesemo expert PGA DFS projections, below are the top PGA fantasy picks for DraftKings and FanDuel at the RBC Heritage 2022.
PGA DFS Golf Picks This Week: RBC Heritage 2022
It is a rare showing of all three of my favorites in a non-WGC/major championship this week, as Collin Morikawa ($10,200), Patrick Cantlay ($10,000) and Jordan Spieth ($9,200) are all set to tee it up. Morikawa and Spieth couldn’t be further apart, as Morikawa is trending as the highest-owned golfer on the slate, whereas Spieth will likely be one of the lowest owned above $8,000. Cantlay fits right in the middle of the two. I will be overweight all three this week while limiting my Spieth ownership to around 13%.
PGA Weather Forecast
It looks to be a very good forecast for the next four days, including the next two. There’s a slight edge to each wave on each day, which can look to be applied in showdown formats. Check out our new PGA Weather Splits tool to see exactly who and when the advantages are.

RBC Heritage Fantasy Golf Picks & Projections
These golfers will have anywhere between 20% and 50% allocation.
Dustin Johnson ($10,500 DraftKings/$11,700 FanDuel)
A big sponsor of Johnson, RBC Wealth Management, has been the title sponsor at this event for some time. They must have said something to him back in 2018, as he’s now come five straight years after the Masters event, except for the COVID year, of course. In each of them, he’s come in the top 28 but failed to crack the top 10. His form has been trending for the past five weeks or so, which should lead to his first top-10 at the event. His putter, which hasn’t been a big problem this year, was the thing that held him back last week. That should be corrected with easier greens at Harbour Town.
Russell Henley ($9,000 DraftKings/$10,500 FanDuel)
It seems like the golfing community has been waiting for a Henley win for a while, as have the Unofficial World Golf Rankings, which have been much higher on Henley than the actual OWGR. Last week things were going well until Saturday, the worst of the days to play, and Henley couldn’t avoid the big numbers. He was able to bounce back on Sunday, going out on the front nine and shooting 31. He had a putt inside 15 feet on the 10th hole to get to 6 under for the day, but the miss there derailed his momentum. Still, his game was well-rounded, gaining strokes in all four measured categories. That should translate well here this week, and he has a pair of top-10s here in the past.
Harold Varner ($8,500 DraftKings/$9,700 FanDuel)
Like Henley, Varner was involved at the Masters and at one point held the lead after his second round. He went into the weekend in the top five, but a brutal day on Saturday in the worst of the conditions knocked him quite a ways down the leaderboard. On Sunday he bounced back with a 69, putting him in a tie for 23rd and just one shot behind the top debutant score. Again, like Henley, Varner gained strokes in all four categories last week. That should give him plenty of confidence as he heads to Harbour Town, where he was very much a part of the story last year, finishing in second place.
Maverick McNealy ($7,900 DraftKings/$9,800 FanDuel)
If one were to make a top-five list of golfers that didn’t qualify for this year’s Masters but will for next year’s, McNealy has to be near the top of that list. He’s proven he can compete on all different types of tracks, but the more technical ones seem to produce his best results. Pebble Beach, where he finished second, and Harbour Town, where he finished fourth last year, fall in that realm. He also hasn’t missed a cut since October at the Shriners.
Mito Pereira ($7,700 DraftKings/$9,400 FanDuel)
While the 2022 calendar year hasn’t yielded top-10s for Pereira yet, he’s finally getting into a grove after having a tough month from late February through March, where he missed three cuts. But in more recent times he’s made four of five cuts, missing the cut at the Players due to having to play in the worst weather. He has come in the top 30 in all four of those made cuts.
Fantasy Golf Picks: $7,500 or less
I am spreading my ownership a little thinner this week, with plenty of plays under $7,500 listed in the “Fringe” section.
