The majors are in the rearview mirror, and the final sprint of the PGA Tour season begins. Although there aren’t the big-name tournaments, there’s still so much to play for, especially in One and Done pools. By now, One and Done is all about either trying to hold the lead or catching up, so it’s clear what the end goals are. Coming into the 3M, it’s a key week to either keep momentum going or find a late winner to launch up the standings. Let’s dive in and see who makes sense as One and Done targets this week.

British Open 2022 One and Done Recap
Xander Schauffele
Xander Schauffele was an obvious and easy choice if for those who had him available last week given how good his form was. The winner at the Travelers and Scottish couldn’t make it three straight but did find himself in a tie for 15th after Sunday. The $191,000 isn’t the result Schauffele backers were looking for, but he also came away with a decent addition to the One and Done bank.
Cam Smith
This article nailed this one last week, as Cam Smith was available and cashed in. The Aussie is just unreal with the putter and had no issues trashing the Rory McIlroy coronation that most wanted to see. The $2.5 million payday is exactly what was needed, and it launched anyone up the standings if they were able to get to Smith last week.
Thomas Pieters
The punt play last week was Thomas Pieters, who was available to most and is always a true wild card. He scores in bunches but consistency is an issue, which is always scary. He rallied after a slow start at the British Open to surge through the cut and found himself in the middle of the pack during the weekend. The end result of 28th was good for just north of $100,000 and a so-so result, but he did at least cash a check.

2022 3M Open PGA One and Done Picks
Davis Riley
There is a different caliber of player at the 3M Open, with most of the big names resting after last week’s major. This provides a lot more to work with, as many of the favorites are available in One and Done pools. Davis Riley has proven he can compete on tour and hasn’t missed a cut since the Heritage in mid-April. He has been fantastic tee to green and just needs to sync up the putting and the irons for what could be a breakthrough win on tour.
Tony Finau
Most people don’t have Tony Finau available, so this is probably the spot to use him for those who do. He is the betting favorite, just north of 10-1, and given this field it is rightfully deserved. He rallied on Friday to sneak inside the cut and then launched up the board with a big Sunday finish at St. Andrews. Finau has the talent, even with the lack of wins, but in a field like this, he has to be considered the man to beat. He should take apart these par 5’s, making him the safest option on the board.
Joohyung Kim
One thing for certain is Joohyung Kim is available in One and Done. He is starting to turn heads and will be playing a lot more on the PGA Tour. This is a situation where there is no data on how good he is, but based on his 23rd at the U.S. Open and the made cut at the British last week, clearly he can play. Do not use Kim unless way behind and looking for an isolated winner, but he is a name to watch closely every time he tees it up.
2022 3M Open One and Done Pick: Davis Riley
Riley is available and the talent is undeniable each time he plays. He made the weekend at both the PGA Championship and U.S. Open while gaining strokes tee to green in every event during that stretch. He finished 64th last time out at the Travelers, but that doesn’t tell the full story. Riley actually gained 5.4 strokes tee to green but couldn’t figure out the greens en route to losing eight strokes putting. If he returns his putter to normal, this is a great spot for Riley to possibly get that first win on the PGA Tour.
