Matt Joyce ($3,100 DK/$2,600 FD)
Joyce is one of our top values on the night, grading out as an “A” value on both DraftKings and FanDuel as he’s projected to lead off against the Angels. Since the start of last year, he’s posted a 46% fly-ball rate, .358 wOBA, and .248 ISO against right-handed pitching, which is what he will get tonight. JC Ramirez is arguably the worst pitcher on the slate against lefties, giving up near 45% hard-contact since 2017. Joyce is firmly in play in all formats tonight.
Freddie Freeman ($5,800 DK/$5,100 FD)
Freeman is exactly the kind of player you want to use in Coors Field, and he could be hitting with a lot of guys on base in front of him as Chad Bettis struggles with lefties. Freeman’s .430 wOBA and .300 ISO against righties over the last year and change is among the best numbers on the slate. If the Braves are going to reach their team total (over 5), it’s hard to imagine Freeman not having a hand in the damage.
Charlie Blackmon ($5,900 DK/$5,300 FD)
Blackmon is the highest-priced non-pitcher on the slate and we’re prepared to pay up for him tonight in all formats. Anibal Sanchez is a guy that should struggle in Coors, as he is a fly-ball pitcher that gives up a lot of hard-hits, and Blackmon should be one of the beneficiaries. His 41.5% hard-contact against righties gives him as good of a chance as anyone on this slate to go yard tonight.
