Curtis Granderson
FD: $2000 | Fpts: B | Value: A
DK: $3000 | Fpts: B | Value: A
Granderson is primed to capitalize on an excellent match-up vs. RHP Miguel Gonzalez and the Chicago White Sox. He’s priced at minimum salary on FD, which is amazing value for a guy hitting 5th for the team with the second highest implied run total of the day. In 1434 plate appearances vs. RHP over the past 3 years, Granderson has slugged .483 with a .236 ISO. He’s even been a bit unlucky, posting a .269 BABIP in that time. He’s a big time value on either site.
Dexter Fowler
FD: $2100 | Fpts: A | Value: A
DK: $3300 | Fpts: A | Value: A
Similar to Granderson from a pricing perspective, Dexter Fowler’s combination of match-up and batting order gives him the elusive A/A ranking on both sites. Fowler has a .349 OBP, .415 SLG and .175 ISO as a lead-off hitter vs. RHP, which is an above average line. Couple that with the potential for extra plate appearances in the lead-off spot and you have one of the best overall plays on the board, regardless of which site you play on.
Josh Donaldson
FD: $3900 | Fpts: A | Value: D
DK: $4200 | Fpts: A | Value: A
1. Take an elite hitter.
2. Slot him in the 2-hole vs. Miguel Gonzalez and his projected 5.52 FIP.
3. Profit?
It’s really that simple for Donaldson tonight, particularly on DraftKings. The Blue Jays have the 2nd highest implied total for the slate, and there’s no one better set-up to take advantage than Donaldson, where he is a clear top option at 3B.
