Week 6 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Wide Receivers: Michael Pittman & Marquise Brown

Looking towards Week 6 of the NFL fantasy football season, we will examine all of the matchups and discern the positive or negative impact that a given matchup will have on the wide receivers. Below is the best fantasy football start ’em sit ’em options for Week 6 NFL matchups.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Wide Receivers

Must Start: Michael Pittman — Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

Pittman is the No. 1 wide receiver for the Colts, even with T.Y. Hilton. Pittman has been nothing short of a target monster, averaging 8.8 per game. Last week he made an amazing touchdown grab against the Ravens and had six receptions for 89 yards. This week against the Texans he should continue to see heavy usage.

Must Start: Emmanuel Sanders — Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans

Sanders has been a reliable receiver for the Bills. He has yet to see a game on the season with fewer than five targets and appears to be the No. 2 receiving option behind Stefon Diggs. Last week against the Chiefs Sanders had three receptions on 54 yards and two touchdowns, and that touchdown upside will be prevalent this week against the Titans, as they rank 25th in pass DVOA

Must Start: Marquise Brown – Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Brown has been a bit more consistent this season than he has been throughout his NFL career. He has only had one down game in which he dropped two easy touchdowns against the Lions. Last week against the Colts he had nine receptions on 10 targets for 125 yards and two touchdowns. This week against the Chargers should be a clash of the titans, and a back-and-forth game between two great teams should lead to Brown producing.

Must Sit: Allen Robinson — Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

The Bears are not throwing enough to sustain any wide receiver. The game plan appears to be to run a lot so that Justin Fields does not make a costly mistake. Even when they do throw, it just is not going Robinson’s way. On the season Robinson has just 17 receptions on 29 targets for 181 yards and a touchdown. It appears that Robinson is a bust, and while many continue to rank him as a top-32  receiver, leaving him on the bench is the best idea.

Must Sit: Robby Anderson — Carolina Panthers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Despite a clear rise in targets over the last few weeks,, Anderson continues to be unproductive. With Christian McCaffrey likely back this week that will likely take away some targets from Anderson. He is currently averaging 35.8 yards per game and has not scored a touchdown since Week 1. Last week against the Eagles he saw two receptions on seven targets for 30 yards. Until he can see sustained production, Anderson should be benched.

Must Sit: Odell Beckham Jr. — Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals

Every week people around the world try to convince themselves to throw Beckham into their fantasy lineups. Besides his first start of the season in Week 3 against the Bears, Beckham has been nothing but a disaster. Last week in a very high-scoring game against the Chargers Beckham was silent, with two receptions on three targets for 20 yards. While that all sounds bad, what is even worse is that the Cardinals defense ranks third in pass DVOA. Leave Beckham on the bench until he can prove that he deserves to be in the starting lineup.
