Week 4 Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Candidates: Stefon Diggs & Christian McCaffrey

Checking fantasy football projections can provide a sense of how a player should perform in a given matchup. Let’s look into some of the best fantasy football trade values for Week 4 that could be league winners with the right buy-low offer.

Week 4 Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Values & Targets

Stefon Diggs – WR – Buffalo Bills

Diggs has come out the gate slowly. He has not necessarily been a bad player, but he has not lived up to the sky-high expectations set on him entering the season. Right now he is the WR28 in half-PPR. The Bills looked relatively sluggish through the first two games, but last week things shifted and Diggs still had his worst game of the season, with just 62 yards on 10 targets. In that game the Buffalo touchdowns went to every other skill position player. He is still on one of the best teams with one of the best quarterbacks, and he is one of the best receivers in the league and may be available at a discount.

Joe Mixon – RB – Cincinnati Bengals

Mixon had a strong performance in Week 1, but after that he has been far from an elite option. Still, Mixon is the lead workhorse back in Cincinnati. Last week against the Steelers he had 18 carries for 90 yards against a strong Steelers defense. Despite the slowing down following Week 1, he is still the RB14 in half-PPR, and his upcoming schedule is solid. In the next six games he gets the Jaguars, Packers, Lions, Ravens, Jets and Browns. Expect him to be a top-12 back for the season.

Jaylen Waddle – WR – Miami Dolphins

Waddle is the WR33 in half-PPR, and that number is going to continue to climb. Even with Will Fuller coming back, Waddle still appears to be the go-to receiver in the Dolphins offense. Though, this call is exclusively for half-PPR and PPR leagues because all his value comes from receptions. Waddle had 13 targets for 12 receptions and 58 yards up against the Raiders. Even when the offense switches back to Tua Tagovailoa, Waddle will remain the No. 1 target in the offense. If he begins to be targeted deeper down the field, then his upside will be even higher.

Christian McCaffrey – RB – Carolina Panthers

McCaffrey has not been placed on the injured reserve. While it is entirely possible that this could change, it is most likely that he will be back within the next three weeks. Prior to getting injured in the matchup against the Texans McCaffrey had seven carries for 31 yards. Even with him getting hurt early in the game, he is still the RB3 in half-PPR. Everyone knows how good McCaffrey is, but with the uncertainty of the timetable to return, some fantasy managers may be nervous to hold him. If that is the case, swoop in and pick up McCaffrey now.

Robert Woods – WR – Los Angeles Rams

With Cooper Kupp dominating targets, Woods has been unreliable. Assume that things are going to change for him, however, since he is WR49 in half-PPR. Just like with Diggs, Woods is on one of the best teams with one of the best quarterbacks, so things are bound to change. Also, Van Jefferson and DeSean Jackson have had big games, and if those go away, the door will be wide open for Woods to have success.
