While there aren’t a ton of options in the main slate tonight, Benintendi looks great on either site. The Red Sox have the highest implied total, with Benintendi getting a lefty/righty match-up against Marco Estrada. Estrada has struggled in his career versus lefties, sporting a 4.50 xFIP over 2200 batters faced. A Red Sox stack is relatively obvious, but Benintendi is acceptable regardless of the stack.
Duda made an appearance on this list yesterday, and it didn’t go particularly well. That doesn’t mean anything for today, as Duda is showing up in a ton of my line-ups. The Royals have the second highest implied total of the main slate. Duda (generally) mashes righties, while Lucas Giolito has not found the success that was expected from his lofty prospect status. On FanDuel, Duda’s price is comically low. He’s simply priced too low to ignore.
There isn’t a total for this game yet, as there is usually a delay for games at Wrigley Field. Based on my estimation, the Cubs should be no worse than third for implied total in the main slate. That makes the Cubs a nice stack for the night, and it makes Javier Baez my highest owned second baseman. Chase Anderson gives up a ton of pulled contact versus righies, which fits with Baez profile of being a major pull hitter. Wrigley has had an above average park factor for right handed power for the past decade, which makes Baez a very interesting play.
I agree with Josh on Duda being an excellent pick on FanDuel and a great play on DraftKings; he’ll be my top 1st baseman tonight. Benintendi I have as a good value but since this morning some great options for value have emerged, in outfield there’s Abraham Almonte batting second for KC, which puts Benintendi less on my radar for cash. Baez I have as a good value but for some reason Tommy La Stella is only 2200 on DK so I prefer La Stella at 2nd base in cash.
