My name is Chris Randone and if you ever watched The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, then you know getting a rose means everything. It symbolized the guy or girl giving them out has an interest in you. When you get a rose, it means you survive to keep fighting for love.

Well in daily fantasy sports it’s no different. We go through a list of MLB picks deciding who will survive and make the cut into our lineups. These players fight to help us win. A true definition of love. I’ve learned being on the show that you never give out roses just for fun – there has to be a meaning behind it. We’ll take that same approach here. For tonight’s rose ceremony I’ll give my Top Stack, Top Pitcher, Surprise Pitcher, & Surprise Stack MLB Picks of this main slate.

Surprise Stack

The New York Mets, will you accept this rose?

The Mets face Dallas Keuchel tonight where the southpaw will be on many radars considering his low price. However, I see myself going against the field in this matchup tonight. Keuchel’s giving up an astounding 30.6 percent home run to fly ball rate over 10 games pitched this season. The Mets are no stranger to power owning a team .194 ISO to lefties on the season.

Ahmed Rosario (.311), Todd Frazier (.354), and Pete Alonzo (.309) all own a plus .300 ISO on the season against lefties. Dallas Keuchel has struggled tallying strikeouts this season, which has led to more balls in play, giving opposing offenses higher probability of scoring runs and runners on base. The Mets are ranked fourth in wRC+ (114) and seventh in wOBA (.339) against left-handed pitching. The 4.6 Vegas run implied total for the Mets will scare people away which makes me like this matchup even more.

Top Stack

Los Angeles Angels, will you accept this rose?

Tail Awesemo's Sports Betting Picks Today!

The Los Angeles Angels own a 5.3 run implied total (third highest) on tonight’s six game MLB slate. The Angels will face Chris Archer where the Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander has given up 25 home runs on the season. Archer will bring his 1.99 home runs per nine innings and 20.5 home run to fly ball right into Los Angeles against a team that strikes out third lowest in the majors (19.3 percent) against right-handed pitching this season. Matt Thaiss owns a .353 ISO at home against righties on the season with Mike Trout (.351) and Shohei Ohtani (.320) right behind him.

Top Pitcher

Clayton Kershaw, will you accept this rose?

The fact we’re seeing a 2.9 run implied total from the Miami Marlins is the only thing we need to understand who the top pitcher is tonight. Clayton Kershaw will face one of the worst offenses in baseball tonight in a pitcher’s ballpark. Miami owns the worst ISO (.135) in baseball against southpaws and third worst wOBA (.293). Kershaw’s strikeout rate (25.4 percent) is lower than previous years but he shouldn’t have an issue with a Marlins team that strikes out 24.2 percent of the time on the year.
