Hope everyone is up bright and early to build NBA lineups for Super Bowl Sunday! Today’s major value comes from Ersan Ilyasova being out for the Hawks, and Irving/Morris/Larkin for the Celtics.
Dewayne Dedmon (4600 DK, 4800 FD) and John Collins (4400 DK, 4600 FD): According to reporters, the Hawks will be starting a front court of Dedmon and Miles Plumlee today. Although Dedmon has been taking a couple of threes a game, I don’t expect them to roll with this lineup very long. What will likely happen is Plumlee will be subbed out quickly for Collins and Dedmon will play most of his minutes at the 5. These guys are both extremely productive per minute, and the Ilyasova injury will give them the opportunity to produce. Dedmon %Top3Value: 28.6% DK, 30.2% FD. Collins %Top3Value: 23.5% DK, 24.05% FD.
Aron Baynes (4100 DK, 3800 FD) and Jaylen Brown (5900 DK, 5800 FD): With the depleted Boston team, the star so far has been Terry Rozier; unfortunately, his price has gone way up so he’s no longer a great value. Jaylen Brown has a greater opportunity for minutes and usage, but his price hasn’t gone up yet because he has been on a cold streak. With Marcus Morris out, I expect Baynes to see a bump in minutes. They will need him to match up with Jusuf Nurkic, and being almost a point a minute fantasy player, he should exceed value for his small price tag. Baynes %Top3Value: 24.7% DK, 28.8% FD. Brown %Top3Value: 22.8% DK, 30% FD.
