Since the trade deadline has passed, I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of great fantasy plays over the next few days. For the moment though, I expect the top plays today to be players benefiting from injuries on their teams.
Jerian Grant (5000 DK, 5800 FD) – Since Kris Dunn has been out with a concussion, Jerian Grant has seen a larger but inconsistent role on the team. With Mirotic traded and LaVine resting for the game, I expect his streak of playing 30+ minutes to continue, for which he is underpriced. Probability of positional top 3: DK 30.3%, FD 30.85%.
Marquese Chriss (4400 DK, 5000 FD) – With Chandler out last game, Chriss and Bender started together and both played three shifts in the first half. The game ended up being a blowout but it flashed the kind of workload he could get today. Between the two, Chriss has been a more productive player per minute, but both are in play with Chandler out today. Probability of positional top 3: DK 27%, FD 25.95%.
Patrick Mills (3800 DK, 4300 FD) – Since both Dejounte Murray and Tony Parker are out today, I expect Bryn Forbes and Patty Mills to split the point guard duties for the Spurs today. Between the two, Mills has seen a bigger role on the team, so I expect him to play a majority of the minutes regardless of which one is the starter. At his bargain bin price, he is a strong play today. Probability of positional top 3: DK 26.6%, FD 26.65%.
