Top 5 FanDuel NBA DFS Picks Today

5. Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers

Davis is projected for 58 points at a price of $11,500. With no LeBron James or D’Angelo Russell playing, Davis is expected to play 36 minutes and averages 1.6 fantasy points per minute. He is projected for 28 real points, 14 rebounds, three assists and three-plus stocks, with 30% usage in a massive pace-up spot against the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road. Davis is likely to fill up the stat sheet and has power forward eligibility, making him even more valuable. With no Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the other side, this game is expected to be competitive, and Davis is in a great position to grab a win for the Lakers.

Update: Anthony Davis has been ruled out.

4. Matisse Thybulle, Portland Trail Blazers

Thybulle is small forward eligible, projected for 23 fantasy points and has a goal of 30. He is in the optimal lineup 19% of the time, and although he may not be the most exciting pick, he is a value play, nonetheless. Thybulle gets around 28 to 32 minutes per game for Portland and averages 0.8 fantasy points per minute. In a competitive matchup against the Pelicans, where Portland is a 2-point favorite, Thybulle is expected to hit a couple of different statistical categories, but what Thybulle really needs is a big stock day. He is projected for 7.5 points on 11% usage, four rebounds, maybe two assists and three stocks (two steals and a block). Filling out small forward can be challenging, but at only $4,200, the value for Thybulle is definitely there.

3. Jalen Williams, Oklahoma City Thunder

Williams is a promising FanDuel NBA DFS pick at shooting guard and small forward. He is projected for 33 points with a goal of 40 and is in the optimal lineup 23% of the time. In the absence of Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams is set to see a massive pace-up spot against the Lakers, with three extra possessions over their average. With 16 points on 20% usage, six rebounds, four assists and two stocks, he is likely to do a little bit of everything. At around a fantasy point per minute, Williams is expected to continue his great performance, especially with his great positional eligibility and a reasonable price tag.

2. Dennis Schroder, Los Angeles Lakers

Projected for 31.5 points with a goal of 38.5, Schroder is in the optimal lineup 27% of the time. He has a revenge narrative going back to Oklahoma City and is expected to play 33 minutes in this game. With no Russell or James, the situation is ideal for Schroder to shine. He averages 0.95 fantasy points per minute in this pace-up spot, with 17.6 points, 6.5 assists, 3 rebounds and a stock. His usage rate is 23%, and he is a completely different player from his previous performances. Schroder is not priced for the role he has and is a strong contender for FanDuel NBA DFS lineups.

1. Malik Beasley, Los Angeles Lakers

Despite his price of $5,300, Beasley is projected for 30 points and is in the optimal lineup 29% of the time. Beasley is a shooting guard and small forward averaging 0.9 fantasy points per minute with a 23% usage rate. His scoring ability is what makes him valuable, as he puts up 17.5 real points, almost five rebounds, three assists and a stock per game. In a pace-up game against the Thunder, Beasley needs to shoot a lot, which he can do from anywhere on the floor, making him a reliable scorer. Despite being scoring-dependent, Beasley’s shooting ability is worth taking advantage of in this matchup, where the Lakers need offense.
