Top 5 DraftKings NBA DFS Picks Today

5. Jordan Goodwin, Washington Wizards

Goodwin is eligible as both a point guard and shooting guard, priced at $4,700 with a projection of 27 points and optimal lineup rate of 21%. While his minutes may depend on the injury report for the Wizards, he is expected to play around 25 minutes. If Ish Smith is out, Goodwin will become an even more valuable pick. He projects for 11.5 points, five rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals in a pace-up matchup against Atlanta. His price, position and role on the team currently make him a great value pick in the lower mid-tier.

4. Bennedict Mathurin, Indiana Pacers

Mathurin offers flexibility as a shooting guard, small forward and utility player. Priced at $6,200, he is projected for 35 points, a goal of 39 and an optimal lineup rate of 21%. Although the Pacers face a pace-down matchup against the Knicks, the absence of Julius Randle and potentially R.J. Barrett creates an opportunity for Mathurin to shine. With a projected playing time of 33 minutes, he is expected to receive significant usage, particularly with Tyrese Haliburton out. Mathurin projects for 23 points, 29% usage, five boards, two assists and a stock. Despite the unfavorable matchup, Mathurin’s great position, role on the team and affordable price make him a valuable pick.

3. Jalen Duren, Detroit Pistons

Duren is projected for 32 points, and his goal is 33.5 and he is in the optimal lineup 23% of the time. Although he is a center, he is only priced at $5,100, making him an excellent value play. His 1.15 fantasy points per minute are also very useful for DFS. The Pistons played him and James Wiseman together yesterday, which increased his playing time, and if they do that again, he could see a big upside. With no Marvin Bagley around, Duren’s minutes upside is significant. Although the Pistons are underdogs against the Nets, they do not have many bodies to go around, making Duren a potential source of points.

2. Killian Hayes, Detroit Pistons

As a point guard, Hayes is projected for 32 points and a goal of 30. He is in the optimal lineup 24% of the time and has the potential to be close to a fantasy point per minute. He had an impressive performance in the previous game, with more than 33 minutes, 13 points, almost seven assists, four rebounds and two stocks. Hayes is also underpriced compared to other players like Jaden Ivey, and despite not shooting enough yesterday, he is expected to rectify that in the upcoming game.

1. James Wiseman, Detroit Pistons

Wiseman is projected to score 32 points and is in the optimal lineup 25% of the time. He is slightly better per minute than Duren, and he played alongside Duren in their last game. If they play together for more than 10 minutes, they have great potential. Wiseman projects for 16 points, 10 boards, an assist and a stock. Though Duren had more minutes in the last game, Wiseman is a strong option for DFS today.
