NFL DFS Picks Week 8: Building the Perfect DraftKings Lineup with Sims and Strategy

Pricing finally got tight in Week 8, and that means we can’t just jam in everyone we want anymore. For serious daily fantasy players, that’s a good thing. In this week’s Perfect Lineup, we built three tournament-ready lineups, ran them through the Single Lineup Simulator, and looked for the NFL DFS picks that could rise above the field. The goal, as always, is to uncover the process that produces the elusive NFL DFS perfect lineup: a build that balances projection, leverage and ceiling better than anything else.

Lineup 1: The Three-Stud Build

By popular demand, the first lineup tested whether it’s still possible to fit the “big three” into a single DraftKings build. We opened with Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson and Ja’Marr Chase, then dropped in Joe Flacco to complete a skinny stack. It’s expensive, but with cheaper tight ends like Dalton Schultz and Cade Otton available, the salary puzzle actually works.

Taylor enters Week 8 with touchdowns in three of his last five games, Robinson draws a home matchup against a shaky Miami defense, and Chase has one of the best spots on the slate against a winless Jets team likely missing cornerback Sauce Gardner. The concern is whether Cincinnati jumps ahead early and leans on the run, but the upside remains elite.

Lineup 2: The Lamar Jackson Discount

The second lineup turned our heads for its pricing inefficiency. We paired Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and Zay Flowers, three players whose salaries dropped dramatically since Jackson’s injury despite no fundamental change to Baltimore’s offense. Two weeks ago, this same trio would have cost $21,400; now it’s $18,200.

The Ravens come off a bye with a fully healthy defense, which should create neutral to positive game scripts for the offense. That means Jackson can rack up production through both the air and the ground, while Henry and Flowers operate as complementary weapons rather than cannibalizing each other.

Lineup 3: Falcons-Dolphins Shootout

The final lineup focused on the high-total game between Atlanta and Miami, but in a creative way. Instead of stacking a quarterback, we built around Robinson and Drake London as a Falcons core, then ran it back with De’Von Achane from the Dolphins side. Without paying for a premium passer, the build saved salary while keeping correlation intact.

Both Atlanta players remain underpriced relative to usage. Robinson continues to dominate touches in neutral game scripts, while London’s target share keeps climbing. Achane, quiet in bad weather against Cleveland last week, should bounce back in ideal conditions.
