NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3: Jahmyr Gibbs
Jahmyr Gibbs
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $10,600
FanDuel: $11,800
Fantasy Points
DraftKings: 17.39
FanDuel: 15.41
Focusing on the snap counts, it has been Jahmyr Gibbs (77, 61%), David Montgomery (48, 38%) and Craig Reynolds (3, 2%) as the only running backs to see the field through two games.
This offseason, word out of Detroit was that more of the workload and opportunities would be shifting to Gibbs, while Montgomery would still have a critical role.
However, in a small sample size, despite the major difference in playing time, Montgomery has 22 carries to 21 for Gibbs, with each scoring one touchdown. Gibbs has 13 targets to the five of Monty, though 10 did occur in the opener. Detroit lost in Green Bay 27-13 against a touch Packers squad — then in Week 2 the Lions got to face old friend Ben Johnson, taking the Chicago Bears to the woodshed with a 52-21 drubbing.
The Stokastic NFL DFS stat projections have Gibbs for 14.02 carries and 58.46 yards, plus 5.31 targets for 3.84 receptions and 29.41 yards, with a 65% probability to score a touchdown. Montgomery is slated for a solid 10.33 carries for 43.07 yards, along with 3.1 targets for 2.18 catches and 18.53 yards, accompanied by a 41% likelihood of reaching pay dirt.
The salary brings this duo closer together as Montgomery provides a $4,200 savings on FanDuel and a $4,200 discount on DraftKings. Gibbs is the priority, though if it is Monty who gets two touchdowns, he is the superior play, even with fewer yardage and catches. Salt to taste.
Detroit Lions Positional Preview
Quarterback | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Looking at the free OddsShopper Live Odds Page, we can see that Jared Goff currently has -109 odds on over 259.5 passing yards, and though he is +145 to collect a single rushing yard, keep in mind that kneeldowns count as quarterback rushing attempts.
Basically, that means that Goff is a one-trick pony, though he is very good at working that magic with top-tier pass catchers at every skill position. Goff is currently third in the league for passing yards per game, and last season he was behind only Joe Burrow (289.3 to 272.3).
He is unlikely to replicate the five passing scores from last week, though Goff did have 12 multi-touchdown games last year, with seven games of three or more. Defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike and linebacker Kyle Van Noy are out for Baltimore, and cornerback Nate Wiggins’ (groin) availability is up in the air. The Ravens kept the Cleveland Browns in check last week, but Josh Allen nearly had 400 passing yards in a wild Week 1 Sunday Night Football comeback victory.
Wide Receiver | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Amon-Ra St. Brown received Pro Bowl accolades each of the last three seasons while being an NFL First-Team All-Pro the last two years. He is one of the most complete receivers in the league, though he does not quite have the downfield prowess of Ja’Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson. Aside from that and having the third- and fourth-highest salary on DraftKings and FanDuel, he is a coveted click for single-slate action.
Jameson Williams is an excellent WR2, and Detroit has used their dynamic duo extensively, with Williams playing on 93% of the offensive snaps and St. Brown seeing action on 90%.Williams is the downfield threat with a 17.8-yard aDOT and 36% of the teams air yards. Of course, St. Brown gets the red zone love, already having six looks which is nearly 55% of the Detroit opportunities.
Veteran Kalif Raymond has been on the field for around 60% of the snaps this season, though he slid from 44 (66%) plays in the opener to 32 (54%) last week, while rookie Isaac TeSlaa jumped from three (4%) snaps to 17 (29%), recording one target in each game. He should start to take away more playing time from Raymond, though it is likely to be a steady climb rather than a direct replacement all at once.
Raymond is in his age-31 season, and he has been in the league since 2016, with this being his fifth year in Detroit. He is a good blocker in the running game, and that is a key to the Lions’ scheme. That doesn’t mean he will get targets, but he is on the field and that has utility for single-game slates.
Tight End | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Sam LaPorta has 13 targets for nine receptions and 105 yards, which is on pace with his two prior seasons. Of course, he did have 17 touchdowns in those 33 games, so do not despair; those should be coming along soon. LaPorta is usually on the field for 80% to 90% of the offensive action, with Brock Wright serving as the TE2 and fan/locker room favorite.
Shane Zylstra will appear on the screen a couple times tonight, but he had only one target last year while LaPorta (83) and Wright (16) got the rest for the position.
Kicker | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Last season, Jake Bates led the league with 67 point-after-touchdown attempts and 64 makes. The rookie had only 29 field goals, but he was solid with an 89.7% success rate and two of his misses were from 50-plus yards. Bates started out as a college soccer player, then he turned to football as a kickoff specialist. He did not have in-game field goal experience, though he did attend training camp after his senior year, ultimately being cut by the Houston Texans.
Bates was the kicker for the Michigan Panthers of the UFL in 2023, setting a league-record 64-yard field goal for the nascent league. In high school, Bates attempted one field goal, which he missed. None of this has any bearing on tonight, but it is still a fun story of perseverance.
Defense | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Baltimore had the third-fewest sacks allowed last year with just 24, though the team has ceded five already. Detroit has four this year after being a little below league average in 2024. The Ravens have lost one fumble as the only blemish for the offense, while the Lions have one interception and one fumble recovery.

NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3: Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $11,800
FanDuel: $12,800
Fantasy Points
DraftKings: 24.18
FanDuel: 23.99
Lamar Jackson narrowly missed winning a second consecutive and third overall NFL MVP last year. He is the king of the single-slate format on DraftKings, with a chance to get both the 300-yard passing and 100-yard rushing bonus in any game.
Though he only has eight rushing attempts through two games, he should trend closer to the 8.2 he had last year. That was actually his career low, but he was still wildly efficient, leading the league with 6.6 yards per carry, something he has done four times in his six years as a starter. The touchdowns were down to just four, though having Derrick Henry in the backfield was a luxury as the King tied for the league lead with 16 rushing scores.
Despite not being named the MVP, Jackson was still the NFL First-Team All-Pro quarterback for a second straight season, and he led the league in touchdown percentage, air yards per attempt and quarterback rating, among other categories. He is again the leader in those named statistical buckets, which is darn impressive and why he is the foundational play for all game formats tonight.
Of course, there is strategy to choosing other Captains and MVPs, so be sure to tune into the Stokastic MNF Live Before Lock Show at 7:15 p.m. ET for all of the up-to-date DFS analysis and information.
Baltimore Ravens Positional Preview
Running Back | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
In addition to leading the league in rushing touchdowns for a third time, Henry also had 325 rushing attempts, topping 300 for the fourth time in his last five healthy seasons. The knock on Henry is that he is not active in the passing game, though he did have two receiving scores, despite seeing only 22 targets. Henry has played on 59% of the offensive snaps through two games, which is similar to what he saw last year.
The goal will be for the 31-year-old to get some rest in lopsided games, and, of course, Justice Hill will continue to handle the vast majority of the obvious passing situations. Hill has five targets to the one for Henry, along with five rushing attempts.
Rasheen Ali has been on the field for one play, while Keaton Mitchell did not yet see action. Fullback Patrick Ricard remains out due to a calf injury.
Wide Receiver | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Zay Flowers looks to be taking another leap after he had a strong sophomore campaign that earned him Pro Bowl honors. Currently, he is second in the league with 109 receiving yards per game, and four of his 14 receptions went for at least 20 yards.
In Week 2, Jackson targeted him on 11 of 29 passes, catching seven for 75 yards. Somehow he did not record any of the four passing touchdowns. Two of those went to Devontez Walker, with DeAndre Hopkins and Tylan Wallace each getting one. This trio had two targets apiece, converting on all the looks.
Rashod Bateman had four targets, catching two for a total of 15 yards. He should see more consistent playing time than Walker, Hopkins and Wallace, who are more situational players.
Tight End | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Mark Andrews has been on the field for 75% and 80% of the offensive action, though he has seen only four targets. That is very disappointing, considering Isaiah Likely remains out. It is far too early to write off this season for Andrews because after a slow start last year he tallied 11 touchdowns from Week 6 through Week 18.
Charlie Kolar is a good blocker, though he will be squeezed out when Likely returns. He does not have a target yet and he had only 11 last year, but he is an extreme punt on DraftKings ($600). Zaire Mitchell-Paden had his first career target against Cleveland, having been a UDFA who was on the Browns practice squad in 2022 and 2023 before signing on to the Ravens practice squad last year. He actually grew up just outside of Baltimore, making for a fun story — though not a DFS factor.
Kicker | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Tyler Loop is the new kicker in Baltimore, with the team selecting him in the sixth round from the University of Arizona. He began his college career as a punter in 2020, later becoming the full-time place kicker for the Wildcats. In those four seasons, he had an 83.8% conversion rate on 80 attempts, making 126 of 128 (98.4%) of his extra point attempts.
Defense | Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3
Goff has thrown one interception this year, which is the only turnover for Detroit. Baltimore has one fumble recovery and one interception on the season. Despite not being a running quarterback, Goff does a decent job of avoiding sacks, suffering around two per tilt. The Ravens have three on the season after racking up 54 last year, which were the second most in the league. Considering the defensive injuries for Baltimore, Detroit should have an easier time protecting Goff tonight.
NFL DFS Picks for Lions-Ravens NFL DFS Picks for MNF Week 3: Rankings
Top 10 NFL DFS Showdown Picks for Lions-Ravens
- Lamar Jackson: Take the action, click on Jackson!
- Amon-Ra St. Brown: Steady as they come.
- Zay Flowers: Be sure to have him in the multiplier slot for a few lineups.
- Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery: The 71% premium for Gibbs on DraftKings and the 55% on FanDuel is sizeable, pulling Monty up the rankings.
- Jared Goff: Continually produces; slight knock for this game being outdoors, though there is no precipitation and very little wind in the forecast.
- Jameson Williams: Has high upside, albeit on a crowded offense.
- Jake Bates: Projectable salary saver.
- Derrick Henry: Eight multi-touchdown games in his last 27 appearances, including Week 1. This is a lofty salary tonight. Did you know that in his time with the Titans, Henry was 7-for-9 with four touchdowns on pass attempts? How fun would it be for “exotic smash mouth football” to make an appearance tonight?! All four of his touchdowns went to tight ends, for those wondering. It is unlikely that head coach John Harbaugh has even thought about this option, but it is still fun to wishcast.
- Tyler Loop: Third career game, second in primetime. No pressure, kid!
- Sam LaPorta: Solid, though not spectacular without a touchdown.
Secondary Options
- Justice Hill: Trusted in pass protection, easily holding off Ali and Mitchell. Ali will be active as the lead kickoff returner.
- Mark Andrews: If he doesn’t get going tonight, then his supporters can start to panic.
- Rashod Bateman: Will be on the field a fair amount, giving him the edge over the non-Flowers counterparts.
Lottery Tickets
- Isaac TeSlaa: High risk, low reward, but still a fun click.
- Baltimore D/ST: Gets the homefield nod.
- Detroit D/ST: Jackson does a great job of limiting turnovers.
- Deandre Hopkins, Tylan Wallace and Devontez Walker: Hopkins is likely to get the red zone chances. Wallace also returns kicks. Walker did not see an offensive snap in the opener and ran hotter than the sun with two targets for two touchdowns last Sunday.
- Kalif Raymond and Charlie Kolar: Each has a defined role for their respective team, though DFS impact will likely be minimal other than as discounted differentiation plays.
- Rasheen Ali: Primary kickoff returner and likely RB3 with Mitchell probably inactive again.
- Brock Wright, Keaton Mitchell, Craig Reynolds, Dominic Lovett, Ross Dwelley, Jacob Saylors and Zaire Mitchell-Paden: Half of these guys will be inactive, the other half bring very little to the Monday Night party.
