If you thought we were easing into the new week, think again. This isn’t the place for safe, middling cash lineups. It’s time to take some shots and build the perfect DraftKings MLB DFS Lineup to take down a tournament. Let’s get weird, smart and aggressive using Stokastic’s MLB DFS Sims and Top Stacks. Here’s how we’re attacking tonight’s 13-game slate.
Perfect DraftKings MLB DFS Lineup: Optimal Strategy
Top Pitchers for Your DraftKings MLB DFS Lineup
Top Pitcher: Jacob deGrom
We start our build with deGrom, who remains one of the best raw strikeout pitchers in baseball:
- Opponent: Angels (sub-4.0 implied total)
- Here’s how it closed: Rate: 27%
- Walk Rate: 5%
- Home Run Risk: Yes, but mostly solo shots
DeGrom isn’t in a great park, and the Angels have some pop, but most of it comes from the right side, where deGrom excels. More importantly, he carries the highest Top 2 Pitcher probability on the slate in the Stokastic Top Pitchers Tool. He’s our foundation.
SP2: Chase Burns
If you’re building a perfect DraftKings lineup in a GPP, you need leverage. Enter Burns:
- Opponent: Dodgers
- Salary: $7,500
- Strikeout Rate: 35%
- Projected Ownership: ~9%
Yes, Burns is facing the Dodgers at Great American Ballpark. That’s terrifying. But the mid-range pitching is ugly, and Burns offers elite strikeout upside with 90-pitch potential. He’s also popping in the Sims as the most exposed mid-tier arm.
Burns is our lottery ticket at SP2. If he hits, we’re flying past half the field.
Top DraftKings MLB DFS Stack: Mariners
We initially wanted to stack the Braves, but the Seattle Mariners are simply too strong to ignore tonight. They face J.P. Sears, who’s allowing a .214 xISO to righties, and they rank second in top stack probability and fourth in stack score per Stokastic’s tools. Add in a hitter-friendly park with the eighth-highest home run factor, and Seattle’s setup is elite.
The Mariners have crushed all year in this split: First in WRC+ on the road, fifth in road ISO, eighth in WRC+ against lefties and ninth in ISO versus lefties. The only downside is salary, as many of their top bats are expensive. But if you’re building for ceiling, Seattle is the stack to prioritize.
Target Bats:
- Catcher: Cal Raleigh ($6,300) — a must-play
- 1B: Josh Naylor (value)
- 2B: Dylan Moore (salary relief)
- OF: Julio RodrÃguez ($5,300)
- OF: Randy Arozarena ($5,000)
We’re pairing this with two high-upside pitchers, so the rest of the lineup has to get creative.
Filling Out the Rest: Use Sims for the Optimal Finish
We ran this build through the Single Lineup Simulator. Here’s how it closed::
It’s not the safest build, but we’re not playing for min cash. We’re building the perfect DraftKings MLB DFS Lineup..
