Sleeper Predictions Today: Sensational Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (May 13)

We start the work week fresh off a 5x cash on Friday night. We return with another free square on Sleeper and two more plays to build another 5x winner. We are talking about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, then the Boston Celtics look to put the pressure on the host Cavaliers, leading that series 2-1 heading into Game 4. Meanwhile in Dallas, Luka Doncic is healthy enough as the Mavericks look to go up 3-1 with a win tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Here is the top 5x entry for Sleeper Fantasy NBA predictions today!

Pick on Sale: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander More Than 0.5 Points

This is our pick on sale for tonight’s action, but we still recommend playing the bottom two picks for a 5x entry.

Luka Doncic M/L Than 48.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

This series looks different following the first game won by the Thunder. If anything, the pacing slowed down to match Luka Doncic’s injuries, allowing him to still standout in the half court game, while not sacrificing much overall. He’s played 40+ minutes in each of the three games so far, and still at home, he should continue to find spots to score – while dominating on the glass. Yes, Luka hasn’t hit 49 PRA but he’s hovering with a couple of injuries, noticeably becoming more comfortable on the floor.

With Kyrie Irving taking over the brunt of the scoring and now PJ Washington on the scene, it was a little tough for Doncic to dominate the Thunder. Look for a little regression to the mean for both Doncic and Washington. The scoring efforts won’t slide down to anyone other than back to Doncic if (we believe “when”) Washington doesn’t knock down as many shots. This series is far from over, and the Thunder are a dangerous team when pushing the ball. The problem tonight for OKC is why this play makes the most sense; Dallas slowing it down allows more production from Doncic.

Sleeper Prediction: Luka Doncic MORE than 48.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Daniel Gafford M/L Than 10.5 Points

This is play is already down to 9.5 at most sports books and I still bet that off OddsShopper. Gafford has a strength advantage but not a scoring one; definitely not one that makes him a primary option. There are a few things working together that should keep Gafford below this total, as he just did in Game 3. The first being the tempo. Because Dallas is slowing things to match the pacing for Doncic, there are simply less options for Gafford to be a scoring option in the half court. The Mavs are looking at getting, now, three guys involved with the ball – Luka, Kyrie Irving, and Washington. Not Gafford.

While the tempo and arrival of Washington limits anyone else, including low volume shooters like Gafford, the Thunder aren’t making it easier either. Gafford went to the line a combined 17 times between the first two games in OKC, but just twice last game. He still went 4-5 for 8 points but was unable to use his strength to get to the free throw line. That’s more indicative of what to expect tonight, especially since getting Gafford free throws isn’t on Jason Kidd’s whiteboard.

Sleeper Prediction: Daniel Gafford LESS than 10.5 Points
