Jock MKT NFL Picks & IPO Projections for NFL Week 9

If looking for a different way to play NFL DFS on Sunday, it is tough to find anything more unique than Jock MKT. NFL DFS becomes a stock exchange on this platform, allowing users to buy and sell in real-time for real money. To play, download the app here and get to trading. In this column, we will review the basics of Jock MKT, including how it differs from making regular NFL DFS picks and how it aligns with the fantasy football games you already know. Below are three of the best Jock MKT NFL picks for NFL Week 9, based on the expert NFL DFS projections from the No. 1 DFS player in the world, Alex Baker.

Jock MKT Starter Kit: NFL Picks | Week 9

To begin, enter the NFL Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is underway. Leading up until kickoff on the slate’s first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging up to $25. See potential injury news that could open an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.

The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular NFL DFS, where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done up until the final whistle.

Each player share is paid out at the end of the games based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. For more information, check out the Jock MKT website.

Jock MKT NFL Picks for Week 9

Josh Allen — QB — Buffalo Bills

This week, Josh Allen has massive upside. The Bills have the highest projected team total of the week, facing a terrible Jaguars defense. Jacksonville allows 8.6 passing yards per attempt, which is the second-most in the NFL. On a side note, this also looks like a great spot to feed Stefon Diggs and give him a big performance to make up for lost time this season. But no matter which talented Buffalo pass-catcher is fed targets, there’s no doubt Allen has the highest ceiling of anyone on this NFL Sunday slate.

Jock MKT ranks Allen second on this slate, but Awesemo’s projections expect Allen to be the top overall player. If this happens, each Allen share would pay out $25. Awesemo projects his value to be at $12.25, so this would be a nice bit of profit.

Jalen Hurts — QB — Philadelphia Eagles

Prior to last week, Jalen Hurts had finished as a top-10 scoring fantasy football quarterback every single week this season. So, to see Jock MKT ranking him ninth on this slate, it looks like they have him near his floor. This would pay out only $11.50, so there is some value to be had. Awesemo, on the other hand, projects Hurts to finish fourth overall, which would pay $16 per share.

The Eagles play the Chargers this week, who have a talented pass defense, but they have really struggled to defend the run, allowing the most rushing yards per attempt in the league (5.1). Hurts isn’t exactly a talented passer. The success of his arm is often set up by his legs, or by the team giving him soft coverage as they play with a lead. If the Eagles are in this game, Hurts will have had a solid fantasy day. If they are getting blown out, then Hurts can be the garbage time MVP yet again this week, saving his fantasy day in the fourth quarter.

Tua Tagovailoa — QB — Miami Dolphins

After swirling rumors at the NFL trade deadline, the Dolphins did not make a move for a quarterback. Look for Tua Tagovailoa to show everyone why he should be the long-term answer at quarterback. Of course, such a performance will be coming against the Texans, so there shouldn’t be much stock put into how well he plays this week. However, for NFL fantasy, Tagovailoa has shown he likes to beat up on terrible teams. He was the 10th-ranked quarterback against the Jaguars and the top overall quarterback the week he played the Falcons. This looks to be another game where the second-year passer can let it rip without much worry.

There is also massive upside for Tagovailoa, with Jock MKT ranking him all the way down at 25th on the slate. However, Awesemo projects him to finish eighth and gives him a projected value of $6.89. The eighth-highest scorer on this slate would pay out $12 per share.
