The stacks below will not be secrets tonight as there are 3 overwhelming home favorites tonight looking to close out their respective series, but it’s hard to get behind any of the road teams here. If you’re looking for a quick breakdown of the NHL slate, you can check out the end of our MLB Strategy Video. Awesemo will start with some reasons why he’s on each stack, then I (Tommienation1) will follow up.
WPG2: Ehlers-Stastny-Laine ($17,900 DK/$18,600 FD)
“The Jets have a healthy implied total of 3.3 at home tonight as they try to close out the Wild tonight, who are without two of their top players.”
The Jets’ 2nd line (“B” points grade) should will see some good matchups against the Wild depth lines tonight at even-strength, which they’ve dominated all series. They have a 67.1 Corsi For Percentage and 33.8 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes, and will be getting a Wild team that is changing up their lines once again. These guys are all on the power-play as well, so the upside is huge in game where they should have little trouble creating chances against Minnesota, which allowed 10.6 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes in the 2 previous games played in Winnipeg.
NSH1: Forsberg-Johansen-Arvidsson ($18,400 DK/$20,500 FD)
“The Predators’ top line will get to avoid Nathan MacKinnon tonight at even-strength and they have a massive team total that is approaching 4.”
Nashville is the overwhelming favorite in this game against Andrew Hammond and the Avalanche as they look to win the series tonight. NSH1 (“A” points grade) has posted a 59.2 Corsi For Percentage, 26.8 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes, and 12 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes. They should see time against the 2nd and 3rd lines for the Avalanche at even-strength, top power play time on the man-advantage, and will be facing a below-average (at best) goaltender.
