DraftKings and FanDuel NHL Stacks of the Day for 3/24

10 Saturday night games with eight of them dropping the puck at 7ET, so this night should get off to a fast and furious start. It’s tough to get down to one lineup tonight, so if you like MME, it might be a good night to spread out your exposure to all these great spots, including the ones I’ll talk about below. As always, Awesemo will weigh in on each stack, and I (Jake Hari/Tommienation1) will follow up with some additional analysis.

NYI2: Beauvillier-Barzal-Eberle ($16,000 DK/$15,800 FD)

“Vegas expects a lot of goals to be scored in the Islanders game tonight, and the second line provides solid value on both FanDuel and DraftKings.”

The Barzal line, “A” FanDuel value, will have the pleasure of going up against one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL this month. Since March 1st, the Blackhawks have allowed the 6th-most Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes (SCA/60) and 2nd-most High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes (HDCA/60), and this line is one of the best at creating these types of chances. On the year, they’ve posted 33.5 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes and 15.5 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes. Not only is it a great even-strength matchup, but each of players in this trio will get power-play time tonight as well. If you like value, taking a line at a reasonable price in a 6.5 total game is usually a good idea in GPPs.

TOR1: Matthews-Nylander ($12,300 DK/$13,300 FD)

“The Leafs implied total is over a half goal higher than their season average of 3.25 at home against the Red Wings, and the matchup for Matthews specifically is a great one.”

Matthews and Nylander make for a great mini-stack because of their even-strength matchup against the Dylan Larkin line, which is on pace for over 23 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes (HDCA/60). The TOR1 line as a whole (“B” DraftKings value) creates over 14 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes, so you can stack up the whole line, but Zach Hyman is the only one that doesn’t get power-play time, so a C-W-D stack with Jake Gardiner could be a way to correlate a little better in tournaments with these two studs.

FLA2: Huberdeau-Trocheck-Vatrano ($17,300 DK/$16,900 FD)

“The Panthers are expected to score well above their season averages tonight at home vs. a poor Coyotes team. With this line seeing Arizona’s depth, they should be able to make some noise offensively.”

The Panthers second line (“A” FanDuel value) adds even more firepower with Frank Vatrano replacing Dennis Malgin tonight. They should avoid the Derek Stepan line at even-strength, instead seeing a lot of time against the Dvorak-Domi combo, which has yielded 13.8 HDCA/60 on the year. Huberdeau, Trocheck, and Vatrano all like to shoot the puck, and should all be getting power-play time (assuming Vatrano slots back in on the second unit). You’ll have to pay an elevated price on DraftKings, but that matchup is one of the best on the night, so they’re worth their cost.
