Matt Carpenter
FD: $3100
DK: $3600
The Cardinals currently have the highest implied total of the slate, which is usually a sign someone will be on this list. Today is no different. Carpenter is in a great spot, as hes set to lead-off against James Shields and the White Sox. Shields is really bad, so I’m looking to take advantage of the prime line-up spot, along with the lefty/righty match-up.
Christian Yelich
FD: $3600
DK: $4400
Christian Yelich is a very different hitter versus righties. Luckily, he faces RHP Homer Bailey and the Reds today. Bailey lacks swing and miss stuff, which should make for a tricky night against this Brewers line-up. I believe Yelich is in the best spot, as he rakes against right handed pitching. It’s hard to pass up on this price.
Eddie Roasrio
FD: $3000
DK: $3500
The Twins have a virtually identical implied run total as the Cardinals, so getting a bat here makes a ton of sense. Eddie Rosario looks to be the perfect combination of output and price. Rosario sports a .491 SLG and .216 ISO in his career versus righties. He’s not the only Twin I’ll have tonight, but he looks to fit in my lines the most.
Awesemo’s Notes
I agree with Josh that Matt Carpenter is a shoe in with his price, the team total, and his spot in the order. Rosario and Yelich I have as great plays as well. Another guy I like tonight is Ben Zobrist. He’s good on DK at 3300 but a lock on FD cash at 2200, batting 3rd.
