Phoenix players once again rate as some of the top values on the slate as Booker remains out and starting center, Tyson Chandler, is likely to be rested in the back end of a back-to-back. In Brooklyn, Caris LeVert is in concussion protocol after being knocked out of the yesterday’s game, and with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson’s continued absence, this puts the Brooklyn wings left standing in a great spot. We’re not expecting too much else on the injury front but it’s worth keeping an eye on Miami, where some decent value might arise if Justin Winslow and Wayne Ellington (both questionable) are ruled out.
Alex Len and T.J. Warren: The sites have, for the most part, done a good job of adjusting salaries to account for Booker’s injury. However, they haven’t accounted for Tyson Chandler’s doubtful status. Phoenix’s is already thin at front court following the recent release of Greg Monroe, so Chandler being out makes this a prime matchup for Alex Len. There is some risk here that minutes go elsewhere as Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender have been playing significant minutes at center. But given San Antonio’s formidable front court duo of Aldridge and Gasol, I expect that Len will get decent run. While Len may fly a little under the radar, Warren will not–he’ll be highly owned but for good reason. His usage goes through the roof when Booker is out and given the dearth of front court options, he’s in line for big minutes again. % Top-3 Value: Len 27% DK, 47.3% FD; Warren 20.3% DK, 37% FD.
DeMarre Carroll: With both Levert and RHJ sidelined, there’s potential for a big game from Carroll. Known as a defensive stalwart for most of his career, Carroll offensive game has burgeoned with Brooklyn and his involvement will be amplified tonight.  He’s also still great at accumulating defensive statistics so he’s a particularly good play on FanDuel where blocks and steals are worth 50% more. % Top-3 Value: 16.2% DK; 46.95% FD.
Tristan Thompson: I’m going to continue to write up Thompson because the sites refuse to adjust his price sufficiently to account for Love’s injury. He’s a top value for me on both sites but my ownership projections currently have him with minimal ownership, which makes him a great tournament play. % Top-3 Value: 21.8% DK; 42.65% FD.
Good luck!
