NBA DFS Picks and Advice | February 3
Charlotte Hornets vs. Detroit Pistons
LaMelo Ball stands out as the top player to target in this matchup. If Gordon Hayward sits, Ball’s usage rate is expected to increase. Additionally, Jalen McDaniels becomes a viable option as well. From the Pistons, Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks are two secondary options to consider.
Sacramento Kings vs. Indiana Pacers
Unfortunately, the Kings will be without De’Aaron Fox. Davion Mitchell is expected to start at a minimum salary, providing a low per-minute production with a favorable matchup. Domantas Sabonis and Kevin Huerter are must-haves, while Harrison Barnes, Keegan Murray and Malik Monk are also strong plays. Be sure to check the injury report for the Pacers. If Tyrese Haliburton is in, he looks to be a solid option, but if he sits, T.J. McConnell and Andrew Nembhard will become more appealing. Aaron Nesmith is a strong value player and Myles Turner is a contrarian option.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Washington Wizards
Jerami Grant is questionable for this game. If he sits, Jabari Walker or Nassir Little is expected to start. Drew Eubanks is expected to start in place of Jusuf Nurkic and provides value. Trendon Watford offers value as well. Damian Lillard always has a high ceiling and is a top option. From the Wizards, there aren’t any standout players, but Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis are reasonably priced for GPPs.

Phoenix Suns vs. Boston Celtics
There aren’t any priorities from this game, but Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton are appealing contrarian options for the Suns. Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams are solid options for the Celtics.
Toronto Raptors vs. Houston Rockets
Fred VanVleet is a top priority in a great spot. The rest of the Raptors starters are secondary options. For the Rockets, Eric Gordon and Alperen Sengun look strong. Jabari Smith is questionable, and Tari Eason is a great option if Smith sits.
Orlando Magic vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Magic have several secondary options, including Paolo Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr., Markelle Fultz and Franz Wagner. Jalen Suggs is a high-risk/high-reward option. For the Timberwolves, Rudy Gobert is questionable and a top player if he starts. If he sits, Naz Reid will become a top priority. D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards are secondary GPP plays.
Philadelphia 76ers vs. San Antonio Spurs
Joel Embiid is questionable, but if he plays, he is expected to have a great game against San Antonio. James Harden is a secondary option but a top priority if Embiid sits. San Antonio is shorthanded without Devin Vassell, Romeo Langford, Jeremy Sochan and Tre Jones (doubtful). It is a risky spot for Jakob Poeltl but with a high ceiling. Keldon Johnson has massive upside, while Malaki Branham, Josh Richardson and Keita Bates-Diop should all get plenty of minutes. Richardson is the best per-minute producer of the group.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Utah Jazz
There aren’t any standout options from the Hawks, but Trae Young and Dejounte Murray are secondary options to consider. Lauri Markkanen remains inexpensive for the Jazz and is a solid option. Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley are reasonable ways to round out a lineup. Walker Kessler is getting low ownership but has block upside for GPPs. Kelly Olynyk is high risk/high reward and would be great if he were guaranteed 24-plus minutes.
