NBA Fantasy: Boom Bust Tool Projections for DraftKings & FanDuel Lineups Today | 12/4/21

We have a mid-sized NBA fantasy slate to play, with one game early and six on the main slate. With this, there is injury news you will need to pay attention to. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will give you breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.

NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight

Top Boom Candidates

Jrue Holiday: $7,700 DraftKings/$7,900 FanDuel | 32.8% DraftKings Boom/26.3% FanDuel Boom

After missing last game due to a calf injury, Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently listed as doubtful for tonight. Obviously, a lot of usage opens up with him off the floor. In fact, one of the largest jumps in usage is Jrue Holiday, whose usage spikes up 7.6% with Giannis off of the floor this season, bringing his average usage to 31.7%. We saw this last game, where Holiday scored 26 points and added six rebounds and eight assists to go with that. The Boom/Bust Tool gives Holiday a floor of about 34 NBA fantasy points in this situation, with a ceiling of nearly 50.

With Holiday having such a high boom score, it’s likely you’ll want to get some action down on him in the betting markets as well. Check out all of Holiday’s NBA player props tonight.

Dennis Smith Jr.: $3,400 DraftKings/$4,400 FanDuel | 64.8% DraftKings Boom/46.1% FanDuel Boom

It’s that special time of the year where Dennis Smith Jr. stumbles into relevancy. In case you were not aware, he plays for the Trail Blazers now. Portland will be missing both Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons from their backcourt tonight. This is why Awesemo projects Smith to play 27 minutes tonight. Simons was injured early last game, leading to Smith playing 19 minutes off of the bench. He played pretty well, totaling six points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals. Hopefully, his play and stats rise with his minutes tonight. Clearly, he is a much better play on DraftKings, where he is $1,000 cheaper.

Dewayne Dedmon: $3,700 DraftKings/$5,800 FanDuel | 67.4% DraftKings Boom/23.0% FanDuel Boom

With Bam Adebayo out indefinitely, Dewayne Dedmon has seen an increased role for the Heat. He has started back-to-back games, playing 31 minutes in one and 23 minutes in another. Tonight, he faces a Bucks team that is expected to be without their MVP, which will make life easier in the paint. Awesemo projects 27 minutes out of Dedmon tonight, so it’s possible we see another double-double performance from the Miami big. Look to play him on DraftKings, where you’re getting a $2,100 discount.

Top Bust Candidates

Kevin Durant: $11,300 DraftKings/$10,800 FanDuel | 61.1% DraftKings Bust/59.6% FanDuel Bust

Some of the cheap plays above will allow you to pay up for a star, but Kevin Durant may be one to avoid tonight. First, he is quite expensive, meaning a top-level performance will be needed to simply return value, much less exceed it. Second, he plays a tough Chicago team tonight. While Durant is an unbelievable player, the Boom/Bust Tool is suggesting you spend your money elsewhere tonight.
