Miles Bridges, SF/PF, Charlotte Hornets

It is rare to see someone as expensive as Bridges popping as this strong of a value, but that is the case on Friday’s slate. Bridges has been solid all season, averaging 1.03 DraftKings points per minute, and he has taken on an insane workload given the Hornets’ absences. LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Mason Plumlee and Ish Smith are all out of the lineup due to health and safety protocols, so Bridges has logged at least 43.1 minutes in back-to-back games.

The rest of the Hornets regulars should also garner plenty of attention. Kelly Oubre Jr., Gordon Hayward and Cody Martin are all grading out as strong options in Awesemo’s NBA Projections, and stacking multiple players from the Hornets is a viable strategy. Not only are they short-handed, but their matchup against the Kings stands out as the best of the day. The total currently sits at a slate-high 231 points, and both teams rank in the top eight in pace and bottom five in defensive efficiency.

Harrison Barnes, SF/PF, Sacramento Kings

DraftKings Value Rating: 97| FanDuel Value Rating: 81

On the other side of that matchup, Barnes stands out as underpriced for the Kings. He returned to the lineup in the team’s last game, and he responded with 29.75 DraftKings points. That was more than enough to return value, and he did it in just 29.4 minutes.

Barnes should see more playing time as he gets further removed from his injury, which gives him an outstanding ceiling at just $5,400. He has been priced as high as $7,600 on DraftKings this season, so he is significantly cheaper following his injury absence.

Barnes could also be worth some consideration in the player prop market. His scoring prop is set at a very reasonable 15.5 points, and the Awesemo Player Prop Tool gives him a 67% chance of hitting the over. That makes it one of the most profitable prop bets on Friday’s slate.

Precious Achiuwa, PF/C, Toronto Raptors

DraftKings Value Rating: 92 | FanDuel Value Rating: 83

Achiuwa missed the Raptors’ last game due to a shoulder injury, and he is currently questionable for Friday’s matchup against the Knicks. That could keep his ownership modest on this slate, but he is in an excellent spot if he suits up. The Raptors have a ton of minutes available in their frontcourt with O.G. Anunoby and Khem Birch sidelined, and Achiuwa logged at least 29.1 minutes in five straight games before his injury absence. Achiuwa has averaged 0.85 DraftKings points per minute this season, so he is capable of doing some damage with that much playing time.

Achiuwa stands out as a strong option using the Boom/Bust Tool. He is projected for a greater optimal lineup percentage than ownership percentage, giving him a positive leverage score on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
