2023 Masters Saturday Weather Forecast
According to The Weather Channel, there is a 98% chance of more precipitation on Saturday, with showers expected to persist throughout the afternoon. Although no thunderstorms are expected to flair up in the area, the temperatures are expected to drop to the high-40s, with winds whipping at up to 18MPH.
When play was called on Friday, Jon Rahm was three strokes behind the leader, Brooks Koepka, at -9. Tiger Woods, who is fighting to make the cut, was on hole 12.
The Masters announced on Friday afternoon that the second round would resume at 8:00 E.T, with the third round taking place shortly thereafter. The Masters weather forecast claims there is a 90% chance of rain at 8:00 tomorrow morning, with winds at around 12 MPH.
Koepka should be thrilled he was able to get his full second round in before the bad weather intensified at Augusta National. He stayed hot, shooting a five under round to get the -12 on the tournament. The four-time major champion appears to have found his elite form again after struggling on the PGA Tour before joining LIV Golf last year.
“Honestly, yeah probably, if I’m being completely honest,” he said when asked whether his decision to join LIV would have been more challenging had he been healthy, per Fox News. “But I’m happy with the decision I made.”
He would go on to admit that he was unsure he would ever get back to the level of play we have seen over the past two days.
“The only time I ever thought about not playing was if I couldn’t move the way I wanted to. If I wasn’t going to be able to move the way I wanted to, I didn’t want to play the game anymore. It’s just that simple. There was definitely moments of that last year. Last year was pretty tough . . .,” he said. “But a lot better now.”
Now, all eyes will be on Koepka as he looks to win his first Green Jacket. But unfortunately, The Masters Saturday weather forecast shows it could be another tough day on the course.
